Crash Course DM

Fresh powder, steep slopes, good times, and energy beverages that are sick as hell…It’s time for this years Numen Games, brought to you by Numen Beverages, LLG. A weekend of magical and/or extreme winter sports is ready to kick off in the beautiful, mountainous town of Numen’s Bluff. Athletes, journalists, service providers, fans, and critics are gathering from all over The Collide for the games. This year’s event takes place at the site of one of the most tragic series of accidents to ever befall the games (of which NBL assumes no liability), as a tribute our fallen brethren and sestren, who fell last year doing what they loved: shredding the gnar. But all is not well on the day of the night of the opening ceremonies. The adventure party has a bone or two to pick with the skeletons of ice plankers who threaten to put a serious damper on the weekend.

It’s a Halloween Spooptacular! To get into the spirit of things, the adventure party gives slightly home-brewed Call of Cthulhu a try! Led by our stalwart Newbie Keeper, Daniel, chaos ensues as we dial it back to the late 90’s with tennagers Eugene Gerald, Ronny Zuko, Milford Reed, and the much older George Worthylake, as they try to solve the mystery of Beacon Island. Ronny’s gotta prove he has what it takes to be a great uncle, while his nephew Milford tries to get his teenage paranormal investigator videos going. Eugene puts his mental prowess and spare glasses to the test, and they all run into their long-time friend from counter strike, George, as he works tirelessly to save lighthouses and ships from the pending destruction of Y2K. Mysteries are afoot as the gang meets up with Milford’s extended family right before a storm hits.

It's Blibb'th leading the blind Birch with the help of Dunn and Nyx. Reeling from their encounter with the mimics of Kren and Brave-Not , our players make their way further inland, where only mer-mechs don't fear to tread. Using scrappy onion medicine, the crew of The Thesius set out to answer life's important questions, like: Why is my favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers song Onion-Fisted Soul Hole? Will the crew ever manage to rescue the real Kren? What's going on with Eagle Team Six? The DM gives an inch and the players take a little more than average, in the exciting conclusion to Shadows of a Sanguine Sea!

The crew of The Thesius continues their journey through the treacherous new island to rescue their Tortle-ous old captain! Nyx tests his onions-as-decoagulants know-how, Birch loses sight of his sight, Dunn does a bad job with confidence, Blibb'th wonders if she'll ever hear again, and the Dungeon Master turns the hurt up to 11.

Starring:

Shea Ingram - Sable ‘Nyx’ Nightshade

Joe Lin - Blibb’th
