Today we chat with a true FASHION ICON, Shaquita Garcia, who has such an incredible story of honoring her art, her inner knowing, her creativity and staying connected to her real, authentic self.

Growing up in Ohio with the drive and desire to be free to create, being an artist was not part of the midwest bingo card: Lots of status quo. Lots of sameness. Lots of boxes. So, like we do here, we bust out of the limiting boxes. With vision and courage, Shaquita made her way to NYC and has not stopped pushing limits in the fashion world, creating her versions of style, motherhood and beyond. She is a full time working mother and She is the artist owner + designer at AART NYC, a wearable artwork, street wear company AND she founded the non profit: Modern Housewives Co, a podcast and events organization promoting the health and wellness of moms all over the world.
