  • THE BEAUTY OF A SIMPLE LIFE: World Traveler Vadym Yavych
Vadym Yavych has spent the past 7 months on the road. I met Vadym at a club meeting for travelers in Chiang Mai Thailand last week and he was nice enough to let me talk to him about his life growing up in the Ukraine.
We met up in a busy mall on Sunday afternoon (pardon the noise) before going to the movies to see Deadpool. He drops some gems on traveling, his summer waiting tables at iHop, and how to live life with intention.
This man has great stories about finding happiness and is wise beyond his years. It was a pleasure to have him on, and I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.

  • LIFE AIN'T ALWAYS A PARTY: Co-Founder of Reconnect Efrain Hernandez
This man has played an incredibly important role in my life.
Efrain Hernandez aka Big E aka Mr. Gift of Gab has been a dear mentor and friend of mine for the past five years. We met up in Central Park (pardon the background noise) hours before my flight to Thailand.
Street Hustler, Ball-Player, and now the Co-Founder of the non-profit Reconnect Brooklyn - this man has done it all.
He has no phone, no computer, and no social media so if you want to get in contact good luck. Let me know and I'll send the carrier pigeon.
An incredible dude with an even more compelling story. I hope you dig!
P.S. Still figuring out the new mics so pardon the strange phasing issues. It's not you. It's me =)

  • KNOW WHAT YOU STAND FOR: Life Stories Part 2 w/ Dad
If you missed part 1 with my dad check it here first: https://soundcloud.com/creativecontact/catch-22-childrens-author-rick-rogers-aka-my-dad-pt-1
You might not realize it but Colin Kaepernick is actually taking moves from dad's playbook. You'll know what I mean when you peep the show.
Had a chance to sit down again with pops and got part 2 of his life story pre-Kia.
This is a real homegrown episode. You get to hear the family cat in the background, the rice cooker beeping, and a special story if you stick around till the end.
I feel blessed I'm able to have this type of a relationship with my old man. I realize that's a privilege. Thought it would be an interesting experiment to record our hangouts and get his life story on tape.
Grab a cold beverage and come kick it with us at the kitchen table.
    Enjoy!

  • GRINDMODE: Philly Rapper ToNe Wiley
I don't know how he does it. This man is a dad AND an artist. ToNe Wiley is a Philadelphia native with an incredible story.
ToNe was willing to chop it up with the boy in the kitchen a few weeks back. He came out to West Philly and we talked about what it's like being an artist while balancing a family.
You can't wait for the hand of god to come down from the sky and give it to you. If you've got dreams you have to take action. ToNe drops some great gems on how to do just that.
Peep the episode and get ready for his album "Black Sheep Winter" coming soon!
