#007: Daniela Schwabe is a Dutch painter currently doing an artist-in-residence program in Leipzig. We have been following her for a while and wanted to capture her intriguing and personal story.
Being especially fascinated by memories and how they influence our Zeitgeist, she started to research her own family history. Her work "Rainbow Series" is a powerful result of this journey. In her images, human figures are cut out brutally from their surroundings, portraits are formed of collected images, and the surface of the painting becomes a façade.
Working with these different layers Daniela questions the complexity of the real in an age of manufactured copies. She draws parallels and creates connections between historical facts about war and the notion of (her own) family history, historical traumas and the contemporary problems we face concerning the trustworthiness and value of images.
Follow her amazing work via the links below. We hope you enjoy this conversation.

#006: Jeffrey Scott is the Creative Director of ZeroSpace. An immersive art theatre based in NYC. Following the trend of experiential spaces, ZeroSpace is offering the visitor an interactive connection with the art shown.
We see a huge growth of spaces that offer an alternative experience of art. Interesting hereby is that the visitor plays a big role; from being an observer they become a participant. Jeffrey will explain more about the origin of the concept of the space, as the founders were inspired by festivals such as Burning Man.
Making the experience not solely an entertaining one but establishing a human connection. Jeffrey shares his personal point-of-view on how art can have a social impact on our daily lives.

#005: Amber Jae Slooten is the Creative Director and one of the founders of The Fabricant. The first digital-only Fashion house. We speak about the potential use-cases for the fashion industry. But also the impact it has on making the fashion industry more sustainable.
Who can we be when we are no longer tied to the identity of our physical body? What would identity look like when we have endless ways to express it, without physical limitations like gravity? Digital fashion house ‘The Fabricant’ aims to show the world that identity does not need to be physical to exist.
Their work DEEP you can now experience at the exhibition 'Regeneration' that we have organized at De School Amsterdam.

#004: Josephine introduces the exhibition Regeneration that runs from the 10th of January until the 2nd of March in De School Amsterdam.
Due to our current lifestyle, we sometimes lose touch with our self-awareness. Regeneration is needed to reset our perspective on life. Through art, we aim to share the positive discovery of introspection. How can we reconnect to our inner-senses to start letting our instinct guide us? What if we already have everything we need?
Together with several artists, Studio Uncoated will be challenging these questions through a combination of immersive installations, video works, and photography.

#003: Sound Design is something we are still relatively oblivious about. But sound is everywhere around us, influencing the perception we have on what we sense. The term for this is; sonic branding whereby companies use sound to link their products or services to a certain audio logo.
Francesco was the first person to explain to me that there is a big difference between Sound Design and being a DJ. He is doing both under the aliases 'Atelier Francesco' and 'Martin Patino'. But his passion is creating sounds that deliver an experience to people.
In this podcast, he will explain the origin of sound and how we as human beings relate to some sounds more than over others. He is very curious and open to new challenges whereby sound plays a role and affects the behavior of its listeners. Currently, he is working on a project to design sounds to help people that are in a coma.
Finishing off he will explain why he has started his own sound festival; Eufonia. That intersects between sound, art & science.

#002: Today's guest is photographer Martin Sweers. Working both as a fashion photographer and in art, he explains to us how these two worlds can come together.
His body of work 'Skins' is remarkably able to capture the issues that most women have with their bodily features. As a man but foremost as a photographer, he is showing us the beauty of our looks just the way they are.
But how can brands tap into this story? For skincare brands, it could be worthwhile to create a branded campaign. As this topic is of many women's concerns, so why not make a stance and show together with an artist that we should accept ourselves as we are.
