Creative Perspectives Podcast

Do it for the Love!

Hone your Craft.

The money will come.

A short episode packed full of inspiration.

A great episode for any artist, professional or otherwise. We're all doing this for the same reasons (on the whole)...that reason being a love of creating and a passion for what we do!

For those looking to create a career or life around a creative pursuit, I talk about how a love for what you do has to be at the core of it! It's this love that keeps you consistent, inspired and pushing forward, even during the times when you don't feel like!

I talk about how this love for what you do gives you the energy to keep going with your chosen medium and as a result, hone your craft. Whatever you do with it!

I also briefly touch on not being afraid to make necessary changes to your life, or making a decision to pursue a new hobby or direction to create a more soul fulfilling life.

In this episode I chat to Internationally renowned Wildlife Artist, Martin Aveling.

We talk everything from Martin's fascinating life story and artistic path, his evolution of style, his chosen medium through to art business, creative blocks and inspiration, as well as mental health and art at as a medicine.

Through all of this Martin's story is ultimately one of commitment.

Commitment to a specific path of an artist. Commitment to a specific medium and subject matter.  Commitment to wildlife, the natural, and conservation. Commitment to using art as positive force for raising awareness of important issues.

I'm sure you will love Martin's parting words of advice too...a great reminder!

Thanks for listening..

Hello,

Welcome to the the introductory Episode of Creative Perspectives.

This episode is a quick introduction to myself as the host, and an explanation of what this podcast will be, and what I hope to achieve with it.

I am a full time artist myself, but also fascinated by other peoples stories.

The Podcast will consist of three episode types:

I am a full time artist myself, but also fascinated by other peoples stories. So the longer episodes will be interviews with a wide range of other artists, creators and makers, as well as general life lovers. Anyone living a creative life.

The second episode type will be much shorter, 15 - 20 minutes. Just myself giving my two cents on a topic..generally art, creativity or art business related.

The third episode type will be simply a release of the monthly Art Show I host on local community Radio Station, Welcombe Radio.  Topped and tailed with quick intro and outro.

I hope you enjoy!!

Tom
