In this episode we introduce our first topical episode where we focus on identity.
My first Co-Host is my husband, Javaun Lindo. He talks about coming to America as a teenager and blooming in his identity despite his desire to rebel.
I share my thoughts about struggling to accept that I may not be as Jamaican as I want to be. We talk openly about some of our individual struggles and coming into our identities as parents, spouse, and staying true to our needs as individuals.
In this episode, I literally jump right in with our guest Jamaal Scott, actor, writer, and young black King, about his journey to full bloom. He has overcome so many obstacles but through it all he is proud of the man he’s become and shares about his inspiration for his incredible film Kings.
