Maybe I’m just not a spiritual person. Actually, that’s the premise of a book of mine coming out next year from @Oghma Creative Media , called The Dog Path to Enlightenment. Still, the benefits of meditation have been documented in studies about physical health, psychological health. Nothing grounds me and helps me sort through my chaotic thoughts like a physical journal. There’s so many things that I love about writing on the computer. I don’t know if I could’ve been a writer in the days before non-linear editing became possible thanks to computers. Being blocked as an artist is often the result of one of two things: demanding a masterpieces to justify your efforts or driving your creativity into exhaustion when it does show up. This humble exercise can cure both problems: filling a page with shapes and lines without aiming for product at all and then stopping yourself while you’re still capable of doing more. the corner stone is doing it every day without regard to whether it’s good or great, without having a product that you’re going to finish, without having to find inspiration in some thing before you pick up the pen or pencil to draw.
