With some introductory thoughts about the Holy Spirit under our belt from last week, we will be delving into better understanding the power of the Holy Spirit that is present and available to all disciples of Jesus Christ. Join us Sunday as we continue our journey of exploring and knowing more of the third person of the Trinity.

We usually are able to wrap our minds around the reality of God as "Father" and God as the "Son" through Jesus Christ...but what about that third part of the Trinity? Who is this Holy Spirit and how does He function and act in our modern world and in the life of a believer? Join us this Sunday as we begin a mini-sermon series that will explore the mysterious reality of the Holy Spirit in our midst.

As we enter into a special and intentional week of prayer (May 6-12), Pastor Mark teaches on the topic of prayer and provides some practical guidance and examples for us to grow in this area as a church family.

To love God with our whole heart, soul, and mind...these words best summarize what it looks like to follow Jesus. On this final Sunday of our current series, we will explore one more aspect of this reality. Loving and following Jesus encompasses loving and following Him with the mind and intellect that God has given us. As much as we intentionally or unintentionally tend to (or are tempted to) separate our mind from other things like matters of the heart or faith... God calls and desires us to follow Him with everything we have.

What does it mean to "love God with our soul"? What even IS a soul?

"Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matt 22:37). This was the beginning of Jesus' answer to the person who had questioned Him about which was the greatest commandment in the Law. And it will also help to frame the final three weeks of our "Follow Me!" sermon series as we consider—what does it really look like to love our God with all of our heart?

When we hear the invitation from Jesus to follow Him, perhaps we are sometimes tempted to think He's inviting someone else...because "could he really be talking to me?" Lies are often more tempting than truth...so join us this Sunday as we listen with fresh ears to the One who speaks only truth and invites ALL into the abundant life that we were reminded of on Easter morning!
