Nestled in the tiny town of Weston, West Virginia, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum tells an incredible story about the history of mental illness in the United States. Trans-Allegheny is not just one of the most haunted hotspots in West Virginia but the entire United States, which is not surprising given its history of abusing patients, suicide and murder.
