Wajiha married Al-Mu'allim Mahmoud, a wealthy older man with a difficult personality and an existing family, in order to escape poverty. Over time, she gained control of significant assets, including a bakery in her name, and became determined to secure her and her daughters’ inheritance against Mahmoud’s sons from previous marriages. As Mahmoud’s treatment of her worsened, Wajiha conspired with two of his close associates, Adel and Zaid, as well as her two daughters, Sabah and Samah, to murder him. The group carried out the killing in Mahmoud’s home and disposed of the body. Wajiha then reported her husband missing, but the police investigation quickly linked her and the conspirators to the crime. Ultimately, all five involved were convicted and executed, marking a tragic and calculated case of betrayal and murder for personal gain.
