Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist and member of the #AmericanIndianMovement who, following a controversial trial, was convicted of aiding and abetting murder and has been imprisoned since 1977. He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for aiding and abetting, after the death of two #FBI agents in a June 26, 1975 shooting on the #PineRidge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Peltier's co-defendants were not guilty by reason of self-defense. Had Leonard been tried with his co-defendants, he also would have been acquitted. Unhappy with the outcome of that trial, prosecutors set the stage for Mr. Peltier's conviction. #freeleonardpeltier

#AlexJones has been spreading debunked stories about the #SandyHook #schoolshooting since it occurred on December 14th, 2012 in Newtown CT. Jones was sued in 2018 for defamation by three parents whose children were killed in the shooting.
