I finally decided to reach out and ask for help, and I am grateful I did. FHE Health and The Shatterproof Program saved my life. If you are struggling, you don’t have to stay there. You might be thinking why do bad things and events always happen to me? Why do I always find myself in the same situations? One problem might be repeated behaviors. Doing the same things often lead to the same results. Maybe its time to shake things up a bit and do things differently? Seek out that mentor or people that can help you elevate to a better level.
Remember as hard as it might be you are exactly where you need to be right now - even though it sucks. I believe that nothing "just happens to me". Everything that happens is for a purpose and I am right where I need to be in this moment in time. When I was at my lowest, I knew that things would get better. I knew there was help for me and I knew I was in my place for a reason.
Stay strong and stay steadfast. You are at the place you are for a reason. The reason is yours to discover.

Be honest with yourself. You might be able to fool people around you but that internal voice inside of you encourages you to be honest with yourself. I know its hard. We don't want to admit our faults or weaknesses but when you are completely honest with yourself it's like a weight gets lifted off your chest.
As humans we want to please others. We want recognition and praise. There is nothing wrong with that but if you are struggling with personal and professional challenges you need to conduct an internal search warrant on yourself and above all be honest with where you are in your life. The bottom line is we can all be better and improve.
But it starts with taking a long and often hard look at ourselves. You can do it. I believe in you and the journey you are about to take. Chin up - You got this!
I hope you have a great and productive day. Please be safe.

A big thank you to YOU! Thank you for being a first responder. Thank you for what you do everyday. Remember the majority of people support you. Don't believe all the crap in the media and social media. You are honored, cherished and loved. Keep up the great work.

Time for a check up. It's October. Are you where you wanted to be when 2022 started? Maybe you are and that is fantastic. Maybe you aren't. Maybe you have been putting off what you need to do until that day when everything is perfectly aligned and you can make your move. Here is a little secret - It's never going to be perfectly aligned.
https://fherehab.com/services/first-responders/
There is no such thing as a perfect time to make your move. The traffic lights of life are never going to be green at the same time. So what are you waiting for? Why do you continue to procrastinate? I have been there. I have put off things I knew I needed to do until that day. That day when things were right and I could make my move. Meanwhile my physical and mental health suffered while I waited and procrastinated.
Don't wait any longer for your personal and professional development. Time waits for no one, and your time is now.
Go out and conquer your day and your week.

Thank you. Thank you for protecting and serving everyday. There is a lot of negative talk about law enforcement in this country but remember this. The vast majority of people support you. Keep doing a great job and please be safe.
Personal and Professional challenges get to us all. Sometimes we fall into depression, and isolation and start self-medicating. Remember you are not alone. Just because you are suffering doesn’t mean you need to stay there. If you are struggling with addiction, mental health challenges, or both, please reach out. My life changed for the better when I took that step forward. I am so grateful for FHE Health and The Shatterproof Program for First Responders. Reach out to me directly at 303-960- 9819. https://fherehab.com/services/first-responders/
You know you need to make a decision on something. Maybe its personal. Maybe its professional. You know you have to take a step forward but you are fearful. You are afraid of making the wrong decision. You are afraid of what people will think.
Life is taking chances. You sometimes fail, and you sometimes win with your decision but you need to take a step forward and make it. Often the thing we know we need to do is the exact step we need to take.
No one can do it for you. You have to do it yourself. When you were learning how to walk people were there to coach, hold and encourage you to take your first step. It's the same now with your decision. You have to do it.
You can do it. People believe in you. I believe in you.
Go out and conquer your day.

So excited to have my next guest on the show - Mike Edwards (AKA Mike the Cop). While many know Mike through his hilarious social media posts which explore the humorous side of police work and community interactions, a lot of people don't know that Mike is serious about making the profession better. Mike is a successful entrepreneur and a sought after speaker.
In this episode Mike and I scratch the surface on some issues such as Mental Health and Wellness for First Responders, The State of Law Enforcement and Ways to improve to some political opinions. Now I often shy away from political banter, but we dove in a little - Listener beware =)
FHE Health is excited to have Mike The Cop attend and MC our upcoming fundraising event - https://fherehab.com/learning/therapy-dog-fundraiser-luncheon

Today, I want you to write down all of your fears and worries. I then want to write down what you are doing to mitigate those fears and worries. It might seem like a simple task, but I really want you to put some thought into this. Remember the majority of crap we worry and fear 1) Never comes to pass and 2) Is not as bad as we envisioned it in our minds.
I am not trying to downplay your worries and fears. Those are legitimate. Bad things happen. We all know this. I am just trying to convey that what you give energy to grows. If you learn to let go and lets things happen then you won't have that burden in your mind. This is very difficult and I still work on this everyday, but you can hold both spaces. Just focus your energy into a more positive direction and outcome.
You can do it. But like anything it requires work.
Thank you for what you are doing in the world and being you. Remember you are loved. Let go and blossom into the person you were meant to be.
Go out and conquer you day.

You were born to create. It is that simple. Everything you see right now. Right at this moment was created by someone who had a thought. That is the power of thought and you have that power inside of you. If you think bad thoughts guess what? You create more bad thoughts. The opposite holds true with good thoughts. So many people believe they are stuck in their currently reality. When you change your reality and you change your thoughts you start to create the life you want.
You are the power. You always have been and you always will be.
Go out and conquer your day and week. Stay tuned for more great episodes on the CJEvolution Podcast.

There are so many dedicated professionals who treat and help our brave men and women who serve. One happens to be on the show today - Dr. Sachi Ananda, Ph.D., LMHC, MCAP is responsible for providing clinical direction to FHE Health's specialized treatment program for first responders. Her #1 goal in her job is to help first responders return as soon as possible to their roles as public servants in their communities and families.
Dr. Ananda is a licensed mental health counselor, certified master’s-level addiction professional, and clinical sexologist. Her professional expertise and personal background groomed her for working with and relating to first responders and understanding their unique treatment needs. She specializes in trauma work, relationship therapy, and drug and process addictions recovery.
Growing up in a military family with a father in the Navy and a brother in the U.S. Marines, Dr. Ananda saw firsthand the impact that PTSD can have on the health and wellbeing of members of the military and first responders. She is trained in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention, sex therapy, and family interventions— among other innovative therapeutic strategies that have proven effective for first responders. Dr. Ananda is originally from Vietnam. Her family came to the U.S. as refugees when she was a young child. They settled in the Pacific Northwest, which is where Dr. Ananda lived and worked for many years before eventually calling Florida “home.”
A great show with an amazing member of the FHE Health Family.
