Imagine being a well known soccer player, on a well known soccer club in the USSR, during the communist era. Imagine standing on the biggest stage and preparing to hear the Soviet national anthem, while this biggest competitive event is being witnessed not only by the people, but by the leaders of the regime. Now imagine kneeling for the anthem while its resonating through out the stadium and the crowds observe your disregard for the anthem. What would happen to you in that country, during that time? How would the public react, let alone your superiors and your political leaders?
Tracy and Al are in studio today and the two open with their former national anthem of the USSR. Al tells what would happen to someone in the USSR during the communist era, if they kneeled during the anthem, which brought them to discuss the kneeling controversy in the U.S. The duo talk about how pointless protests get in the U.S. Tracy talks about a twitter troll and a millennial who tried to talked a big game at a bar and failed. The guys talk about the recent church shooting, read a story about an officer getting ambushed and talk about one of TLC member's cousin getting shot by the police.
