Now, say what you want about Julian Assange, but when he created Wikileaks, he had a vision, or he had a mission, and purpose, and he understand the idea of corruption, the hiding of secrets to further that corruption, and he wanted to aggressively do what any journalist wants to do for their whole career, and that is chase stories, leads, land documents or people who are scared to talk, or more importantly have information that would categorize them as WHISTLEBLOWERS, doing the ultimate act, wherein they sacrifice their own safety to reveal truth.

As a country as we descend into a time where facts, or actual truths are up for interpretation by what people receive on their TikTok's, or Facebook, or even the divide around households that watch Fox News and those that don’t.

This latest leak of intelligence files and what I am no hearing is not only eye-opening, but for lack of a better word, amateurish.

As we’ve investigated the murder of Don Bolles for close to a year, we’ve been fortunate to speak to a number of amazing journalists. From Richard Ruelas to Jana Bommersbach and Don Devereux, we’ve been led down a labyrinth of evidence, cover-ups and staggering revelations. 

Whenever a journalist worth his salt is given information, you attempt to confirm those leads through other sources. The person who we believed could confirm a great deal of the evidence brought forth in Episodes 1-8 was Kathy Kolbe.

After months of trying to get Kolbe to go on the record, she agreed to speak with us on a number of topics related to the case. As coincidence would have it, the interview took place on June 2nd - 46 years to the day that the bomb went off under Don Bolles’ car.

As I stated in earlier episodes, Kathy Kolbe was a close personal friend of Don & Rosalie Bolles.

Little known fact - shortly after the attack on June 2nd, 1976, it was Kathy Kolbe who was tasked with bringing the Bolles children to the hospital to be with their mother & father.

That was just the start of an almost 2 week odyssey for Kathy & the Bolles children.

As the kids were with Rosalie in the hospital, Phoenix PD pulled Mrs. Kolbe into a nearby room with an urgent message - they were concerned the kids could be the next target.

At the end of the Men’s College Basketball National Championship, Jim Nantz of CBS a broadcaster who has called 32 Final Fours, signed off with a small quote, that caught my attention for many reasons, Jim said, “Everyone has a story, and everyone has a dream." Those words this year and the run that UCONN had inside the tournament, took on extra meaning for me this time of year.

While I have faithfully watched the NCCA Tournamant since I was eight years old, the Monday night of the Championship game has been my only religion, I have yet to miss that game, no matter where I have been.

With UCONN’s run thru the tournament, and their televisied games, what they also provided for me was a topic of conversation with my Mother who is battling Alzheimers’s and attened UCONN, wherein she met my father, and they have been married since. 

While the disease ravages her short term memory, the UCONN’s Men’s basketball games, have turned into a conversation piece that injects some positive emotions, in my daily interactions which at times are painful, sad, introspective, and relevatory.

While my Mom’s battle of Alzheimers, has been front and center, another story resonated with me, and that was the public narrative around the Uconn coach Danny Hurley, and his early struggles with mental health, and overcoming walking away for a period of time of the game of basketball altogether.
