Paul tells us that we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. The word sovereign means having supreme power and authority. At Cross Church we teach that our God has supreme power and authority in heaven and on earth. Now, if we believe that God is truly sovereign, we must see that there are no coincidences when it comes to the significant things in our lives. Esther became the Persian King’s Queen not just because of her beauty. She became Queen because God had a plan for her life and for the Jewish people. Think for a moment of what is happening in your life right now. You may be angry at someone and may be blaming him or her for the circumstances in your life or family. Could it be that God is sovereignly working out His will and purpose? Let’s stop walking in fear and doubt, let’s walk in faith. Let’s accept God’s plan for our life and do what He wants us to do, even if we don’t see into the future or understand the big picture.
