Crossing Streams

Craig Elsten is rejoined by Marisa Cali for a bit of a departure on the Crossing Streams feed, as we recap the finales of two of the longest-running reality TV competition shows out there, Survivor 41 and The Challenge 37: Spies, Lies and Allies. First off, why do Craig and Marisa watch these two shows, and if you haven't, what might they offer you? Then, they go deep on the finales, and the winners, of the respective seasons.

Craig Elsten, Beau Lynott, Justice Parman and Corey Stewart are together one more time in 2021, this time gathered in-person at the Fall Brewing Co. South Park tasting room, to break down the season three finale of Succession on HBO. (Audio quality is intermittent at times due to the live broadcast, our apologies.) Who wound up on top at the end of the season, and took home the final #1 Boy ranking? Listen to excerpts from two of the most powerful scenes in the show's history. We go scene-by-scene through the finale and talk through all the biggest storylines of the season!

Craig Elsten and Liddy Loree both loved "What We Do in the Shadows", but didn't get around to a season 3 recap podcast...until now! We couldn't let 2021 go by without reviewing one of the very best comedies on TV. How did WWDITS manage to avoid the complacency trap and put its characters in very interesting places heading into next season? Who was the beating heart (ironic, for a vampire) of season 3? Hear it all inside!

Craig Elsten, Beau Lynott, Justice Parman and Corey Stewart reconvene to dig into one of the most emotionally violent and cruel episodes of Succession in the three seasons of the show's run: S3E8 "Chiantishire". Is love even a real thing on Succession? Is Kendall...dead?? What about Shiv's soul, is that dead too? We've got a lot to get to, including the audio from our two featured scenes, and this week's category winners!

Craig Elsten is re-joined by Liddy Loree to talk about two new shows with big promise in a Crossing Streams "First Look" (minimum spoilers). First up, 'Yellowjackets' on Showtime, airing on Sunday nights. It's a puzzlebox with great star power, but some questions remain. Then, (34:00), a look at The Wheel of Time, which has some 'Lord of the Rings' vibes, but has engaged our hosts well through the first four episodes. The show wraps up with "What We're Watching" (51:00), where Liddy and Craig go through a very different list of current shows.

Craig Elsten, Beau Lynott, Justice Parman and Corey Stewart are back to review the best episode so far of season 3 of Succession, and perhaps the best episode yet in the series' run. "Too Much Birthday" is the funniest and saddest episode of the year. We take you through the key discussion topics, a scene-by-scene episode review with featured scene audio, and our weekly category winners.

Craig Elsten is joined by his MCU/Star Wars correspondent Ken Gartin to talk about the opening two episodes of the final Disney+ Marvel TV show for 2021, Hawkeye. Have the show runners been able to capture the fun of the Matt Fraction comic run? Then (29:00), Craig and Ken take a look at a very different MCU property, Marvel's "Hit Monkey" on Hulu. Last but not least (50:30), some talk about a promising season of Survivor, which has improved since the merge.

Craig Elsten is joined by Justice Parman on this week's episode of Full F*&^ing Beast to go through a hallmark episode of Succession, Season 3 Episode 6 "What It Takes". What's Shiv's fundamental mistake in dealing with her father, Logan Roy? What's up with Logan and Kerry? We break down the biggest storylines and take the biggest scenes in detail, then offer our weekly category winners!

Craig Elsten is joined by Steven Woods from the "Ben and Woods" radio program on 97.3FM in San Diego to discuss two gritty dramas: American Rust (Showtime), and the first two episodes of Mayor of Kingstown (Paramount+).

We continue to recap the best show on television in 2021 week-by-week on Full Fucking Beast, this week taking on Season 3 Episode 5 of Succession. Craig Elsten, Beau Lynott, Justice Parman and Corey Stewart go scene-by-scene through the episode, outlining major themes and going in detail on the biggest scenes of the week. Then, the guys give out their weekly winners for #1 Boy, Best Insult, Biggest Move, Cringiest Cringe, Tomlette with Gregs, and the Stockwatch.
