This is a talk that I gave to a young adult retreat on March 20, 2021 at the Eastern Catholic Re-Evangelization Center. Using the Garden of Eden as our reference point, we go through how in the fullness of revelation in Jesus, God has been restoring the Garden that has been broken. To go back to Communion with God, each other, and creation. In the Garden we were children to a Father, a Bride to a Bridegroom, given divine food and drink, clothed with purity and truth in communion. In the New Covenant, we live in Communion with God through the Eucharist and the Holy Spirit - "This is My Body" words of a Bridegroom; "This is My Blood" words of a covenant; "Clothed with power from on High" words of a Father. The Eucharist, the fruit of the Tree of Life (the Cross), "opens our eyes" reversing the effects of the fruit of the bad tree that opened our eyes. The Holy Spirit clothes us with power, reversing the effects of being naked and ashamed. This is the New Restored Garden... but even this is incomplete. We see that the Garden is incomplete without Communion with each other. The heart of the Eucharist and the heart of the Spirit, which is Communion with God, reveals God's Heart for communion with each other - one bread, one body, one Spirit to drink from. Fight, be a fool, for love of one another. Your children, your parents, your friends, your relationships, your marriages... they're worth it, fight for it. Live in the Garden even in the Midst of the Desert by participating in God's Crucified Love.

As a follow-up to the last episode on Heaven, perfect union with God, we briefly talk about how those in Heaven are more alive and active than we are. Then at the 12:30ish mark, we talk about the different levels of glory in heaven that each will receive in proportion to what they have done. 1 Cor 15:40-42: "There are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory. So it is with the resurrection of the dead."

After talking about how we are judged based on love, today we talk about that judgment doesn't fit into a perfect box and is different for each person based on what we have been given, what's been reveled to us, based on our conscience. We discuss scripture on judgment and conscience, invincible ignorance, not judging others, particular and final judgment, no sin is accidental, etc. "When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their consciences also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them on that day when according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus" Rom 2:14-16.

In our fifth and final episode on Voting with Purpose we go through all of the arguments, including what I used to put forth, for pro-choice, pro-abortion, and pro-legality of abortion.
