Jesus makes some very hard demands of His followers. Once we realize we are in a warzone they make sense. And so do His reasons for His demands. But best of all Jesus never asks more from us than He was willing to do...and did!!!...for us.

The Bible's message is truly shocking: The Son of God becomes The Son of Man to give His life for the enemies of His Father who sent Him...and truly glorious.

In the end Jesus Christ will reign...He will win...is this amazing truth a fleeting thought for you are a deep source of hope, boldness, endurance and even compassion?

There is 1 fact that once a person acknowledges it to be true… changes everything… for the Good! This sermon examines that fact.

This passage shows Jesus as a powerful and compassionate Shepherd...but it also shows Sheep who are slow on the uptake and just don't seem to "get it". This leads to the repeated admonition..."little faith". How can we move from that to "great faith" is the question we will explore.

Most change involves adjustment, and can be hard. The change from Old Covenant to New with the coming of Jesus lead to many adjustments and refocusing of priorities. Within that is much for us to rethink about ourselves.

As we watch Peter lose focus, take his eyes off Jesus and begin to sink… we immediately see ourselves. This message helps us stay focused and go from “little-faith” to “great-faith”.

Christians have been deeply motivated and sustained by the hope of "Our Inheritance". But this doesn't seem to be the case today among many in the body of Christ. Besides the culture's pressure to focus only on the here and now, perhaps we simply don't know enough about our inheritance to be hopeful and persevering.

How was Peter able to rest while imprisoned and facing death?  Where did he find his peace of mind?

Why did the church pray even as they harbored doubts that God would rescue Peter?  What is the lesson for us as we approach God in prayer?
