Matt. 13:53- 14:13: Jesus called us to be "All In"...to sell all for the pearl of great price. In this sermon both Jesus and John the Baptist model for us the "Cost of Being All In"

What's most important to you? What is your purpose in life? What gives you happiness and meaning? If you achieve it all, how long will it last? Jesus told parables to help us know what to pursue. And how to be "all in" for something that will last eternally.

In two simple, but profound Kingdom parables, Jesus give us much to be excited about in terms of what God is doing in our world. That is a well needed antidote to so much sadness and concern for the state of the world. We will also look at how we can do our part to advance His Kingdom.

Two Kingdoms are flourishing and at war with each other on earth. The nature of them is seen in the controversy in Jesus’ life with the religious leaders of His day. It is seen today as well. There is something frightful and also glorious about these realities in the text opened up in this message.

Words are powerful both for good and for harm. But the tongue is so hard to control. Jesus addresses this important issue and takes us deeper to the “heart” of the matter.

How do you know Christianity is true? What answer would you give if someone asked you this question? Jesus was asked something similar to this and He pointed to "One Sign"...one overriding evidence to prove He was Messiah. We will examine that Sign and it's practical implications for our faith.
