HONOR - A Valuing; a Weight

To Honor is to place more weight on eternal principles rather than earthly practices

Honor - brings Gods Favor and Blessing (healing, longevity, wisdom, prosperity)

Dishonor - brings moral corruption (perversion, rule-breaking, greed, cruelty)

Romans 1:21 Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.

This KINGDOM operates under one LAW.

The LAW OF CHRIST (the law of love Jn 13:34)

ARE WE WILLING TO PUT OUR FAITH FILTERS OVER OUR POLITICAL FILTERS?

THE LAW OF CHRIST:

1 Cor 9:19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

1 Corinthians 9:21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from the law of God...but am under the law of Christ

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

When the concerns of others BEGIN TO CONCERN YOU & MOVE YOU TO ACTION…you are fulfilling the LAW OF CHRIST.

THE LAW OF CHRIST HAS BOUNDARIES

LOVE NEVER HURTS ITSELF

LOVE NEVER HURTS OTHERS

LOVE NEVER ALLOWS ANYTHING TO MASTER IT

THE LAW OF CHRIST CHANGES HUMANITY WHEN YOU DO 2 THINGS:

1. HONOR GODS SPIRIT

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

2. HONOR YOUR ANCIENT LANDMARKS

Proverbs 22:28 Do not remove the ancient landmark Which your fathers have set.

HONOR - the act of giving respect or recognition to another person through actions, words or attitudes.

Week 4 – Risk Being Vulnerable

Matthew 18:32-35 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times… Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers until he should pay all his debt. So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.”                                                                                 

Myth: They have to apologize or admit their guilt before I can forgive.

Truth: Jesus forgave before we knew we needed forgiveness. We must do the same.

Myth: I’ll forgive when I feel it’s the right time.

Truth: You will never feel it’s the “right time” because unforgiveness gives a false sense of control, that you will never want to release. The good feelings will follow your decision to forgive.

Myth: You should forgive and forget. Truth: Trying to forget a hurt is nearly impossible. Your mind remembers almost everything. As Christians we are called to forgive and remember with forgiveness.

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart,

for everything you do flows from it.
