Key Point: What’s important is usually below the surface. If you want the truth, you have to seek it out.

The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand… But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. - Matthew 13:11-16
Key Point: God wants you to seek truth, because he is truth.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
- Matthew 7:7-8

Sensing Types:
•       Remember events as snapshots of what actually happened.
•       Solve problems by working through facts until they understand the problem.
•       Are pragmatic and look to the "bottom line."
•       Start with facts and then form a big picture.
•       Trust experience first and trust words and symbols less.
•       Pay so much attention to facts, either present or past, that they miss new possibilities.

Intuitive Types:
•       Remember events by what they read "between the lines" about their meaning.
•       Solve problems by leaping between different ideas and possibilities.
•       Are interested in doing things that are new and different.
•       Like to see the big picture, then to find out the facts.
•       Trust impressions, symbols, and metaphors more than what they actually experienced
•       Sometimes they think so much about new possibilities that they never look at how to make them a reality.
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  - 2 Corinthians 4:18
