This morning Pastor Nolan will continue in our Advent sermon series through in the book of Luke, and we'll look at what has become known as "Mary's song." For Mary, becoming pregnant while betrothed to Joseph could have been a death sentence. However, in spite of all the things before her journey that could have caused fear and worry, she chose worship instead.

There are times when God moves us in unexpected ways, and calls us to do seemingly impossible things. The Lord is sovereign and faithful, and he is able to make impossible things possible. This week our guest speaker is Pastor Kevin Richardson, and he will preach through Luke 1:26-38.

This morning on this first Sunday of Advent, we'll begin a new sermon series through the book of Luke, Born As A King, where we'll look at the incarnation of God, and the hope Jesus brings to all. In this first message we'll discover how our faith is both historical and biblical, and We can be certain God is who He says He is, and that He’ll do all that he says He’ll do.

To say, "Our God is love," is to say that God is loving in all His ways. His love doesn't cease when he's just, or wrathful. He doesn't lay aside one attribute in order to embody another attribute. Instead, His love is steadfast, transformational, intentional, and overwhelmingly good. There truly is no one like our God. Pastor Nolan preaches through 1 John 4:7-21 as he concludes our series, This Is Our God.

God is perfectly righteous in how he treats His creatures, which also means He is a God of perfect justice. The good news of God's justice is that while we are sinful and unholy people, God, himself, atoned for the sins of mankind in the crucifixion of Jesus. While the wages of sin is death, if our hope and faith is in Christ alone, we have salvation and everlasting life.

It's important for us to know that God is faithful because the faithfulness of God promises that God will never cease to be exactly who He is and who He’s always been. He is faithful to love, protect, provide which is reflected in His creation and through his promises. We can trust God for what he'll do, by remembering all He's done.

God's wisdom is higher than our wisdom, and we may not always understand why God does what he does. But, because God is good and faithful, we can trust in His wisdom always. Pastor Kevin Richardson continues in our series, This Is Our God, helping us to better understand the wisdom of God.

Looking deeper into goodness of God is to see that He is full of grace & mercy, which are two attributes often expressed together in the Scriptures. Our response to the grace and mercy of God is worship because God deserves it, humility because we don't deserve it, comfort because it's an amazing gift, and proclamation because it's the best news anyone will ever get.

We see God's goodness in his presence, provision, and promise, which compels us to praise him with our whole lives. This week, Pastor Nolan takes us through Psalm 34 as we look continue in our series, This Is Our God.
