This morning we welcome Pastor Eli Garza as our guest speaker, and he'll continue in our series Jesus Is King, and looking at 3 parables in Luke 15:1-32. Jesus shows us how God’s love rescues the spiritually ill, heals them, and transforms their lives. God's word is both timeless and timely, and even today this word encourages us to repent of our sin and to grow to be transformed by the love and grace of God.

Continuing our way through the Gospel of Luke, we explore Chapter 14:1-35, and Jesus clarifies the radical nature of true Christ-glorifying discipleship, and He challenges religious people, proud people, wealthy people - basically all of us - to reevaluate our definition of success because following Him may lead to social and material losses. Ultimately, Jesus offers greater spiritual fulfillment and eternal rewards as adopted sons and daughters of the most high King. The true prosperity of the Kingdom of Heaven is found in sacrifice rather than personal gain.

There’s not more than one way to Salvation; Jesus is the only way. But we also need to know the love of God is wide - from as far as the east is from the west. So, while the Way is narrow, the Love is wide. This Easter Sunday, Pastor Nolan leads us through Luke 13 in our study of the Gospel of Luke.

Continuing in our study of the Gospel of Luke, we're finishing up chapter 12 and Pastor Nolan guides us through 6 ways we can glorify God by how we live. When we live to bring glory to God, we bring good news to the world.

We're commanded a number of times throughout Scripture "do not fear," or "do not be afraid." Yet, there's an instance where Jesus tells us to have fear - fear in the Lord. We need to have a healthy dose of fear in God. We don’t fear God in the same way that we might fear a dad who’s prone to fits of rage and anger. Instead, we fear God from a place of humility. Pastor Nolan continues preaching through the Gospel of Luke, looking at 12:1-12.

The Scriptures tell us the war is not against flesh and blood, but against the cosmic powers over this present darkness. In Luke 11:14-53, we need to know that we are in a war, and we are either with God, or we are against him.

In this weeks passage, Luke 11:1-13, Jesus invites us to pray like he prays as sons and daughters to a holy and gracious Father, for His will to be done, and our needs to be met on earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus uses this story to help his followers to understand the radical nature of what it means to love other people, and more importantly what it means to be people of the way, truth and life.

In Luke 9:46 - 10:24, we're confronted with the posture of our hearts for the mission of the Gospel, and then we'll see 5 ways we GO for the glory of God and good of the Kingdom. The cost of following Jesus is great, but the glory of the redeemed is far greater!

Continuing in chapter 9 of the Gospel of Luke, Pastor Doug leads us through a series of short scenes where we're confronted with knowing and trusting our greatest need - Jesus. Keep the faith big; the baggage small; hope unshakable.
