Crossroads - Weekend Messages

Life feels like a battle sometimes. There’s some really hard things that happen to us and around us that make keeping our head up feel almost impossible sometimes. When you feel like you’ve been totally defeated and knocked down by life, there is a hope available to you that will give you what you need to come out on top no matter what’s going on...because God’s love is stronger than everything. And it might seem too good to be true - so join us this Sunday as we learn why hope is a reality we can live in!

A core part of being human is asking questions...because life has a way of raising deep questions within all of us. Things happen that are challenging for us to wrap our minds around or see purpose in - our understanding is limited. Sometimes we feel like asking questions of God means we don’t have faith. In reality, God isn’t scared of our questions. He invites our questions because they’re opportunities to go deeper with him! Join us this Sunday for a message about the questions we’re all asking...and find that the one thing we never have to question is God’s unending love for us.

Few expressions are more comforting than the phrase, “It’s all good.” What a great thought, right? The only problem is, so often our life circumstances show us an alternate reality -- that everything is definitely not good. One of the beautiful things about Jesus, though, is he flips all our normal human logic on its head. Although his plans are usually different from ours, they are infinitely better...and in Jesus’s plans for his followers, everything is truly all good. Doubt -- we don’t like to talk about it. But like it or not, life can throw our faith into confusion. Maybe it’s overwhelming grief at the loss of a loved one, the seeming discrepancies between science and the Bible or hurt at the hands of the church...Whatever it is, whenever we don’t know what God is doing in our lives, it’s hard. But there’s a beautiful secret to doubt -- it can actually be the key to greater intimacy with Jesus if we allow our questions to lead us back to him. Join us this Sunday as we seek God in the midst of doubt, together!

All of life is a competition for our attention, and one of our biggest struggles is keeping our eyes fixed on the goal...or even knowing what our end goal or purpose in life is sometimes! When we lose sight of the greater purpose in life, it’s so easy for too many things to become big in our heads and occupy more and more of our time and energy. We all need to get a pulse on our perspective from time to time. So join us this Sunday for a message that will not only help us keep our eyes on the prize, but remind us where our lasting hope is when everything else is in flux.

They say the pain of losing $20 is more severe than the joy of having it in your pocket. All of us know what it feels like to lose something and how sweet it is to recover what was once lost. When it came to relationships, Jesus prioritized recovering and restoring what was once lost. “Family” means something different to each of us, depending on what kind of family we were born into. Whatever our stories are, when we start following Jesus, he doesn’t save us for isolation - he saves us for adoption into his family. And the unique and beautiful thing about Jesus’s family is it’s the redemption and fulfillment of all our other family experiences - the good and the bad.
