We live in a soundbite culture. It's no wonder why Twitter has become so popular - everyone is busy, time is valuable and we're trained to focus on little bits of information, where less is more. The book of Proverbs is like a collection of soundbites, bite-sized but with depth and wisdom meant to be unpacked. As the book of Numbers draws to a close, chapters 33 and 34 offer a beautiful moment of pause and reflection - moments the Bible calls "Selah." You can't put a positive spin on everything, there are certain things that you need to just plain run from.
