Exodus 15 is a whole chapter devoted to a song of praise. The Israelites were celebrating their miraculous deliverance from Egyptian bondage, having been guided through the Red Sea passage. Only a couple of chapters later, however, we find those same Israelites complaining that they were better off in Egypt, that God had led them into the desert to kill them. What happened? These people forgot what God had done for them and lost their victory. Let us never forget what God has done for us - let us Hold On to the Victory!

Before Jesus's ascension to Heaven, He left His followers with a command to make new disciples. This week, Pastor Ben shows us a handful of ways that the early church took on this responsibility. Likewise, we need to have the same heart as the early church, and we can have the same joys.

Obedience does not present itself as a wagging finger - God forcing us into line with His will because we must serve Him. Rather, we benefit and our lives are more blessed when we are obedient.

As Jesus was coming upon the moment of His betrayal, He spent some time to prepare His followers for the upcoming days. Likewise, God prepares us beforehand for what we have yet to face. In both cases, we are told that we know the way to the Father, we have help in the Spirit, and we have hope in Christ.

God is greater than our capacity to know Him. He knows everything about every person who has ever lived. He is this great, and yet, we are a part of His plan. This week, Pastor Don Rough explains two questions regarding Jesus: Who He is, and why He came.

Jesus came to Earth with one mission: to save our souls from Hell. He chose not to do it alone - He enables us, through an outpouring of His Spirit - to help Him in this work. Our calling in this life is to minister - to preach, teach, witness, pray, heal...

This week, Pastor Doug discusses the story of the prodigal son. This story shows the mercy and grace that God has in store for us. We need to be comfortable in accepting these gifts. We also need to use them as tools to serve others and bring them closer to Christ.

The final part in Pastor Dennis' series on the calling of the church. In this message, Dennis reminds us that we are called to always be ready to lead others to Christ.

Instead of giving the people of Israel an expected political king to free them from Roman rule, Jesus gave them immediate and personal change in their daily lives. We, likewise, must determine what Jesus means to our daily lives.
