How did Jesus go from Coming King to Crucified King in just five days? This Palm Sunday, we look at the crowd who welcomed and sang hosanna as Jesus entered Jerusalem would be the same crowd who would call for his execution. 

March 29, 2023 - Who are you buried with? We are buried with Christ. Because we died with Christ we will live. It has nothing to do with who we are or what we’ve done – it has everything to do with who we are buried with, who we are connected with. As Christians, we rejoice because we’ve already been connected with the burial of Jesus. Even though we die, we live!

There are seasons when it seems like nothing is happening. We are not growing, we are not advancing, we are just…stuck. We can wonder if anyone is even listening or watching. Ezekiel was called to boldly proclaim the word of God to a people who were in captivity, beholden to a pagan king in a pagan land. In Ezekiel 37, we are reminded of the God we worship and has promised to do the impossible.  

March 22, 2023 - It is foolish of us to carry guilt that isn't ours or to call ourselves unclean - that is the enemy trying to put a burden on us. We are pure and righteous through the blood of Jesus and he carries that guilt for us. We are forgiven and loved by Jesus.

In Sunday's sermon we will wrestle with the question: what does God see as a priority for a Christian: the inside motivation or the behaviors—inside or outside? 

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at the healing Jesus provides for a man born blind, and how it mirrors the spiritual healing He gives to us all. Only through His gift of the Law can we see our need. Only through His gift of Gospel can we see our Savior.  

This Sunday, we’ll be looking at God’s great gift of provision through His Son Jesus Christ, that as we believe in Him, we have the blessing of eternal life.

March 2, 2023 - Today we are looking at the conversion of Saul to Paul. God chose him to proclaim his name to the Gentiles and people of Israel, even though he thought so little of them. God opened his eyes physically and spiritually in spite of everything, and he can see Jesus. He goes for Saul, a mighty king, to Paul, which literally means "small". How has God acted in our lives and how can we use it to reach out to people? How has God blessed and changed you? Jesus is our Lord and Savior.

Pastor Travis dives into the temptation of Jesus in the desert. It is often in these desert times that God brings refinement, clarity, and understanding.

February 22, 2023 - In Acts, chapter 8, we meet Philip. He reminds us that we don't get into God's good grace by putting more in the offering plate. Our faith and salvation are not based on our actions - it's always been paid for by Christ being crucified. Also, based on his conversation with the eunuch we know that Philip talked about baptism - it's a clear indicator that baptism is connected to our faith in Jesus Christ, our salvation. It's important to have baptism in the conversation about salvation. But keep in mind, that it's not lack of baptism, but lack of faith that condemns us. However, baptism is a gift given to us by Jesus Christ so that our sins are washed away. You are a child of God.
