Ash Wednesday Sermon

Jesus reveals a moment of God’s glory breaking into this world through the miracle of the transfiguration. We are now welcomed home into God’s glorious kingdom through Jesus.

February 15, 2023 - There's a lot to unpack today. One, let's step up and find ways to use our gifts from God to SHOW Jesus' love and serve others. We should live and speak boldly about our faith. However, we know there are people who will try to tell us we're wrong. So instead of being angry with them, remember to have grace and forgiveness for them just as Jesus did for us. Lastly, remember death is temporary, for when we wake up, we'll be celebrating in His kingdom.

Jesus is our refuge and source of safety because while everything else can shift or fail, He is constant, and His love is certain.

February 8, 2023 - Today we're wrapping up Acts Chapter 5. We have a new life free of condemnation so we are free to love our neighbors and God - to live as we were created to live. But as we live, what message are we proclaiming with our words and actions? Our mission is to proclaim God's word. We won't fail because he doesn't fail.

God created us with an identity and purpose, but in our sinfulness, we often forget who we are in the Lord. Through Christ, our identity is restored as children of God.

February 1, 2023 - Today we're looking at Acts 5:1-16 where we see a path leading to death and another leading to life. Where is your identity and faith found - in worldly measures and self-glorification or in Jesus Christ?

As Jesus welcomes us home, He forgives us all of our sins and brokenness. We belong to the family no matter how far we have wandered because the Good Shepherd finds us when we are lost.

January 25, 2023 - Today we're looking at Acts 4:23-37. Lord make us bold to share your word with others and proclaim the Christian faith.
