  • Brooke Marie's Story

The Founder of Chasing the Rainbows, Bernice Quesenberry, shares her story on air for the first time. Brooke's story involves secondary infertility, abnormal growths and menstrual cycles, advanced maternal age, 28 week delivery, NICU life, and ultimately losing her daughter in her arms at 5 1/2 weeks old. There were multiple events that played out in the less than 1% probable causes that led to Brooke's traumatic death. Leaving the hospital that horrific day without her daughter is what drove her to start the 501(c)3 nonprofit offering daily, free, trauma informed support services for survivors. • Infertility is Fertility Loss!

Infertility needs to be considered a major medical condition. In this episode, we are discussing secondary infertility. Right now, 19 states out of 50 cover infertility treatments. While our 501(c)3 nonprofit was doing a June World Infertility Awareness month viral challenge, #fertilityloss is a barely used hashtag. This type of loss needs to be looked at as the serious reproductive organ disease it is. We are looking to host primary infertility survivors on our podcast and would love to hear your story. Please write in at CryItOutLoudPodcast.com if interested in sharing your experience.
