It seems like Italians are taking over the mainstream comics marketplace in America. It's no surprise, their artistry is exceptional. You are probably already familiar with Lorenzo De Felici's work on Robert Kirkman's Oblivion Song. Stepping into the writing arena, he has a new Image Comics project coming out called Kroma where he writes, colors, draws, and letters this new strange and beautiful fantasy world. It has a wholly new take on the use of selective color and I got a chance to nerd out with him about the process of this unique concept.

No need to adjust your speakers, that White Noise you're hearing is none other than my chat with the writer of such fine comic books as Arcadia, Friendo, Giga, and REDFORK, it's Alex Paknadel. I was excited to talk to Alex because I love his writing. He has the ability to take big concepts and craft relatable, human stories always teaming up with wonderful artists, masters of visual storytelling and his newest comic is no exception. All Against All #1 is being described as "What if the xenomorph from Alien were Tarzan?" As if that wasn't enough, Alex has teamed up with Casper Wijngaard who recently finished the fantastic Home Sick Pilots with Dan Waters. I has a fantastic chat with Alex, he's warm, genuine, and funny. There was even a surprise appearance from my daughter Penny during recording.

The FOC (Final Order Cutoff) for All Against All #1 is November 14th so once you've had a chance to listen, go tell your LCS you want a copy. I've read it, I loved it, and I was delighted to chat with Alex about it.

Maybe it’s because I’m Catholic, but Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood is one of my top favorite horror stories written by Frankee White with art by Adam Mankiewicz and colors by A.H.G. I invited Frankee into the Yeti Cave for an exploration of this phenomenal horror series published by Dauntless Stories and to find out all of the other things Frankee is working on, like Who Killed Sarah Shaw?, a comic being released on Adam Mankiewicz's Patreon. IT'S SPOOKY SEASON! We've decorated the Yeti Cave with all manner of ghostly apparitions and are ready to hand out comics books to all those that make the trek up here to Trick or Treat.

On today's episode of the Cryptic Creator Corner, Jimmy Gaspero is chatting with Rich Douek and Alex Cormack the writer and artist for two of his favorite horror comics: Road of Bones and Sea of Sorrows. This is a deep dive into those 2 comics (without giving too much away if you hadn't read them yet). And although at the time this was recorded they couldn't really discuss it, they just announced a new series, Breath of Shadows, which is sure to be an amazing addition to this now trilogy from a trilogy (along with letterer Justin Birch) of hauntingly talented creators.
