  • Is it a yes or a no? What is Russia‘s position on cryptocurrencies?

Cryptography is an enthralling realm. If you step into the realm of cryptocurrency, you will either face risk or be rewarded with wealth. However, if you choose your course carefully, you may be able to strike it rich.

However, this unpredictability is separating nations' views on digital currencies. El Salvador, Singapore, and Brazil have all taken considerable steps to ease their citizens' adoption of digital assets. Whereas countries such as China and Russia have taken a contrary position and enacted stringent crypto laws.

Additionally, the Bank of England recently released a cautionary statement regarding the prospect of Bitcoin being worthless.

Additionally, the Russian Central Bank published new rules and regulations for regional mutual funds, effectively barring them from investing in cryptocurrencies. This comes at a time when the country's cryptocurrency policies remain uncertain.

    How does Russia see cryptocurrencies?

The Central Bank of Russia recently reinforced its opposition to cryptocurrency investments, citing the volatile nature of virtual currencies as a primary reason for its apprehension. Governor Elvira Nabiullina has declared that the regulator has the authority to rein in cryptocurrency activities.

While the Russian government has 'authorised' residents to possess, trade, and mine cryptos, they are not permitted to use them as a payment mechanism, that is, not for the purchase of goods and services.

Anatoly Aksakov, chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee, recently suggested that new legislation is required to safeguard individual investors from cryptocurrency hazards.

    As Aksakov stated,

"Digital assets are a focus of our attention, and in this section, we will examine how to protect our citizens as much as possible when investing in digital currencies and digital assets, as this is a novel tool that is fairly difficult for an uneducated investor to understand."

How has Russia attempted to suffocate the cryptocurrency market?

Russia's cryptocurrency future remains uncertain for the time being. The bank, which also serves as Russia's primary regulator, is gearing itself to enforce severe laws that will segregate cryptos from traditional financial institutions. Here are a few initiatives that are working to stymie Russia's crypto explosion.

    * In July, the Central Bank of Russia forbade the country's stock exchanges from listing any financial products whose value is dictated by cryptocurrency values. Regulators now want to limit mutual funds' exposure to cryptocurrency.

    * On December 13, the Bank of Russia issued an official statement on the regulation of mutual investment funds.

    * According to the paper, fund managers are barred from investing in cryptos and financial products whose value is contingent on the price of digital assets. Through mutual funds, neither unqualified nor qualified individuals are permitted to invest in bitcoin.

    * In Russia, possessing undeclared cryptocurrency valued between US$1,300 and US$13,000 is punishable by fines and even imprisonment.

The CBR presented an assessment of the financial stability report last month. The CBR research underlined major dangers associated with the cryptocurrency market, noting a lack of financial stability and investor protection, as well as the possibility of an increase in money laundering and criminal financing cases.

Additionally, the CBR has recommended that commercial banks block fraudulent individuals' crypto cards, wallets, and accounts.

    Prospects for the future

The Russian Central Bank (CBR) is taking a strong line against the country's digital asset market. As a result, the future of cryptos in Russia appears to be quite hazy. Russian cryptocurrency aficionados were taken aback by the Bank of Russia's recent effort to protect the country's economy from fraud and scams.

Despite the prohibition on traditional financial institutions investing in cryptos, the Bank of Russia intends to build a ruble-backed Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). If everything goes according to plan, the pilot programme for the digital rouble will begin next year.

Thus, it is possible that all is not lost for Russian crypto aficionados.

  • 83 percent of millennial millionaires, according to a poll, own cryptocurrencies

According to new research, young millionaires are comfortable with the risk and volatility inherent in cryptocurrency trading and intend to increase their participation in the market in 2022.

The majority of rich millennials believe that volatile cryptocurrency assets are an excellent investment.

83 percent of young millionaires possess cryptocurrencies, according to the 2018 CNBC Millionaire Survey. What's more astonishing is that over half (53%) of these young, wealthy investors claim to have at least 50% of their fortune in cryptocurrencies. Almost a third of young adult respondents have at least three-quarters of their money invested in cryptocurrency.

Not only do the majority of millennial millionaires store the majority of their money in cryptocurrency, but the data also indicates that young respondents intend to add more programmable funds to their portfolios in the coming year.

This represents a substantial investment decision that is distinct from those made by senior millionaires.

What is unsurprising is that statistics indicate that older millionaires invest less in blockchain digital assets. According to data, less than a quarter of Generation X millionaires and 4% of baby boomer millionaires are now bitcoin investors.

According to these numbers, the investment discrepancy between millionaires by age group is rising. It appears as though older generations of millionaires are unwilling to invest a sizeable amount of their fortune in cryptocurrency, despite the fact that it is the primary basket into which many younger investors are placing their economic eggs.

How did millennials accumulate their wealth?

The researchers identified two distinct sorts of millennial crypto investors: those who made their fortunes through cryptocurrency and those who added to their existing fortunes through cryptocurrency (most commonly through inheritance or start-ups). According to the research, 45% of millennial millionaires claim to have inherited their wealth.

In comparison, thanks to the much higher returns on cryptos in recent years, millennials who invested tiny sums from their own earnings years ago have become self-made billionaires. Bitcoin, for instance, has been dubbed the asset of the decade due to its annualised gains of 230 percent, which outperform all other asset classes.

Only time will tell whether these millennials benefited from "youth's folly" or from "fortune favours the brave" - or from both.

  • What is the procedure for converting BNB to AVAX?

Due to the peculiarities of the cryptocurrency market, new and supernova stars appear in its firmament with enviable regularity. AVAX, the Avalanche blockchain token, became such a star in November 2021. A relatively unknown and very young cryptocurrency has entered the top ten most valuable cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation.

Such a dramatic event drew market participants' attention to the asset. While AVAX has lost some ground, it is still included in numerous lists of the most promising cryptocurrencies for 2021.

What makes the Avalanche project unique

If Bitcoin was initially conceived as a possible alternative to the traditional financial system and a possible replacement for fiat money, its supporters have advanced further. Ethereum was the first network to allow users to create smart contracts and decentralised applications.

Today, a plethora of decentralised financial products have already established themselves as the norm in the cryptocurrency world. Veterans of the cryptocurrency market encountered the issue of network scalability as their popularity grew. Transactions must be completed as quickly as possible for users, and the capacity of existing ecosystems is frequently insufficient.

The Avalanche blockchain was built with this in mind, and its consensus protocol enables the rapid launch of DeFi products. Additionally, AVAX is now one of the fastest networks.

Consider Avalanche to be Blockchain 3.0. Two blockchains and a directed acyclic graph comprise the platform (C-Chain, P-Chain, X-chain).

The P-chain is in charge of implementing the consensus protocol and preventing tokens from being blocked.

Avalanche Contract Chain (C-Chain) is a smart contract platform. Additionally, C-Chain applications can be ported. Ethereum-based.

The exchange chain (X-Chain) enables token transfers and exchanges between subnets, as well as the creation of new assets of various types (altcoins, stablecoins and non-removable tokens).

While the Avalanche network is functionally identical to Ethereum, it boasts additional features, faster speeds, and lower fees.

    AVAX cryptocurrency

AVAX is used to perform all calculations within the network. Proof of Ownership is used to generate the native token. This algorithm consumes less power than the Proof of Rabot algorithm, which increases the asset's attractiveness.

The network's active development and the attraction of new solid investors amid growing dissatisfaction with Ethereum's increasing commissions aided the coin's ascension to the TOP-10 of the largest cryptocurrencies. Despite the fact that AVAX has yet to establish a foothold in the market, many analysts believe the coin is extremely promising. Interest in the coin is also being fueled by its current low price, as evidenced by the volume of BNB to AVAX exchanges.

However, regardless of how optimistic the forecasts were, keep in mind that the entire cryptocurrency market is an area of particularly high financial risk. While it may be tempting to join the early investor community, investing your entire portfolio in a very young asset is risky.

    Converting BNB to AVAX

AVAX is now traded on a number of major cryptocurrency exchanges and can be converted to a variety of other cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. Any of the currently operating services can be classified into one of the following groups:

    * Traditional services that facilitate cryptocurrency trading and other revenue-generating activities.

    * Instant cryptocurrency exchange service, similar to C2C.

Although the exchange algorithm is essentially identical, the service chosen is determined by a number of factors, most notably the location of your assets. If your coins are stored in the client's exchange wallet, it makes sense to conduct exchange transactions through the platform.

You have additional options if you withdraw funds prudently to more secure, independent wallets. For instance, you could make use of LetsExchange's services. It is significantly more convenient and secure than traditional services.

You are not required to register in order to use the platform's features. You must first open the exchange widget and complete several actions within it.

    * In the upper field, select or enter BNB for sale and the quantity of coins you wish to sell.

    * Similarly, in the lower field, select AVAX.

    * Enter the address of your wallet.

    * Make a coin deposit. To initiate an exchange, click the "Exchange" button.

Automatically, the most profitable current transaction is selected, the exchange rate is recalculated, the transaction is completed, and the purchased coins are credited to the wallet. The platform operates commission-free and imposes no limits on the size or number of swaps.

  • Elektra, a Mexican retail establishment, will accept bitcoin as payment for services

According to a recent Reuters report, Mexican retailer Elektra will begin accepting the leading cryptocurrency bitcoin (BTC) as payment for its services, making it the first in the country to do so.

Ricardo Salinas Pliego, a Mexican billionaire and founder of Grupo Salinas, which owns Elektra, confirmed the news via a tweet today, stating that the retail store will "offer a 20% discount on bitcoin purchases."

"It is true that the rumours are true. Elektra is Mexico's first retail store to accept bitcoin payments... I'm truly sorry for defeating the competition once more," he added.

As part of the development, the firm has selected BitPay as its BTC payment processor.

Salinas is a Bitcoin enthusiast, as he stated in a tweet six months ago that he was looking for ways to convince Banco Azteca, a banking institution that is a subsidiary of Elektra, to accept Bitcoin as a payment method.

"Certainly, I recommend the use of #Bitcoin, and my bank and I are working to become the first bank in Mexico to accept it; if you require additional information or details, follow me on my Twitter account," he tweeted.

Mexican Regulators Do Not View Bitcoin as a Form of Payment

At the moment, there are no official prohibitions or restrictions on the use of cryptocurrency in Mexico.

However, the country's government and regulatory authorities have criticised and taken a more stringent stance on regulating the emerging asset class.

In September, Mexico's Central Bank Governor Alejandro Daz de León expressed disapproval of BTC, stating that he views it as a product rather than a medium of exchange.

Diaz stated that anyone who accepts BTC as payment for goods is engaging in barter trade – the exchange of goods for goods.

Additionally, he stated that the only thing that should be considered money are fiats issued by a country's central bank.

Meanwhile, despite widespread criticism, the leading cryptocurrency continues to be used as a medium of exchange in a variety of industries.

For example, just last month, AMC, the world's largest movie theatre chain, announced that it would begin accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as online payment options.

  • Predictions for the XRP price ahead of the anniversary of the SEC vs. Ripple lawsuit

Prior to the one-year anniversary of the SEC case against Ripple, the XRP price has been relatively stable. The coin is currently trading at $0.85, where it has been for several days. This price is approximately 30% higher than the December low. The company's market capitalisation has increased to approximately $41 billion.

The anniversary of the SEC vs. Ripple

In a US court, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a significant case against Ripple Labs and two of its executives. It filed this case on December 22, 2020, which means that the case's one-year anniversary is rapidly approaching.

The SEC case resulted in a precipitous decline in the price of XRP and the coin's delisting from major exchanges such as Coinbase and Kraken. Additionally, Ripple Labs lost MoneyGram as a partner.

The Securities and Exchange Commission charged the company and its executives with raising $1.3 billion in 2013 through an unregistered digital asset offering. According to the lawsuit:

"Issuers seeking the benefits of a public offering, such as access to retail investors, broad distribution, and a secondary trading market, must comply with federal securities laws requiring registration of offerings, unless an exemption applies."

In 2021, the lawsuit proceeded successfully as the two sides argued their respective cases. Ripple Labs and its executives argued that XRP, like BTC and ETH, was a cryptocurrency. As such, they were not required to register the offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Analysts now anticipate that the judge will issue his decision in 2022.

Despite the lawsuit, Ripple had a successful year in 2021. The price of XRP has increased by more than 96 percent since the case was filed. Additionally, it has increased by more than 400 percent from its December low.

Additionally, Ripple Labs has inked several deals this year. For instance, it acquired a significant stake in Tranglo. Additionally, it established relationships with the Republic of Palau, Bhutan, Paydek, and GME Remittance.

    Predictions for the XRP price

On the daily chart, the Ripple price recently formed a double-top pattern at $1.3565. The neckline of this pattern was $0.8730, the price at which it is currently trading. This indicates that the coin has formed a pattern of break and retest. Additionally, it is slightly below the Fibonacci retracement level of 61.8 percent.

Additionally, the XRP price has fallen below its 25-day and 50-day moving averages. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has increased to approximately 40 points. As a result, the coin is likely to resume its bearish trend in the run-up to the lawsuit anniversary.

  • What is the mechanism by which DeFi lending platforms operate?

Lending is a critical component of liquidity, which is at the heart of the majority of cryptocurrency markets and exchanges. One could argue that it is the lifeblood of the cryptocurrency money flow, as it provides the liquidity necessary for cryptocurrency exchanges to function. Without lending, trading different cryptocurrency pairs may result in extremely high slippage and fees, and certain small markets and exchanges may eventually cease to exist.

Historically, "lending" has been handled by traditional banks, institutional lenders, peer-to-peer lenders, and other money markets. Lenders earn money by charging interest on the capital they lend to borrowers. Financial institutions offer a variety of loan products, including certificates of deposit (CDs), repurchase agreements (Repos), commercial papers, treasury bills (T-Bills), and money market mutual funds.

You may not realise it, but if you have money deposited in a bank savings account, you typically earn a negligible annual interest rate because you are technically a "lender" and can earn interest on your deposited funds.

"Lending" can be facilitated in the cryptocurrency space via the CeFi (centralised finance) and DeFi (decentralised finance) protocols. The former entails lending your cryptocurrency to CeFi platforms, which are occasionally referred to as "crypto banks." The disadvantage is that they will retain full custody of your crypto assets throughout the lending programme, and you will be required to complete a KYC (know-your-customer) application. As such, it negates the entire point of cryptocurrency being decentralised, and additionally exposes you to hacking, insider trading, and bad loans.

This is why the majority of people prefer the latter as a more convenient and secure method of "lending." Individuals can lend out their cryptocurrency assets via DeFi protocols without submitting a KYC form or relinquishing custody of their tokens. Anyone with a cryptocurrency wallet can effectively participate in DeFi lending and borrowing – it's that simple.

DeFi protocols enable the creation of money market funds in a manner similar to that of traditional financial institutions, but completely digitally, permissionlessly, and automatically. Individuals interested in participating in this field must log into these DeFi platforms and exchange their tokens for interest. This interest, sometimes referred to as APY (annual percentage yield), is typically calculated automatically by an algorithm.

The entire lending process is automated; everything is built on the blockchain using algorithm-based smart contracts, which are transparent to all parties. Once you lend your tokens via the DeFi platform and smart contracts, the other side of the process kicks into gear, as borrowers now have access to both the supply tokens and interest.

What is the best way to use digital currency as collateral?

DeFi platforms enable you to borrow money using your existing digital currency, such as Ethereum (ETH). Why would you wish to do such a thing? For instance, suppose you are bullish on Ethereum over the long term and do not wish to liquidate your existing position, but you wish to participate in and trade high-flying tokens in the short term. You can borrow other tokens using your Ethereum as collateral. This way, you can keep your collateralized Ethereum while also having funds for other tokens.

Additionally, potential borrowers of any cryptocurrency on a DeFi platform must provide collateral before they can borrow tokens. The collateral's value is always greater than the amount to be borrowed. This concept eliminates bad loans by requiring borrowers to repay what they have borrowed, as the underlying collateral is worth more than the borrowed tokens.

What exactly is cryptocurrency loan liquidation?

However, given the volatility of the cryptocurrency markets, it is entirely possible that the collateral's value will eventually fall below the borrowed amount. When this occurs, you may become a victim of what is known as "crypto loan liquidation."

When borrowing crypto-backed capital, the borrower is required to provide collateral equal to the value of the crypto loan. Generally, the loan term is unlimited as long as the collateral value exceeds the loan amount. However, if the liquidation price of your crypto loan is breached to the downside, whether due to market volatility, a flash crash, a bear market, or for any other reason, your loan will be liquidated at the liquidation rate in order to ensure that all loan-related expenses are paid.

Keep an eye on liquidation rates whenever you take out a crypto-backed loan. You can avoid liquidation by depositing additional funds as collateral to cover the liquidation price, or by repaying the loan in full, plus interest.

Which decentralised lending platforms are the best?

As of 2021, the following are the top DeFi lending platforms:

    Aave Protocol (AAVE)

The Aave Protocol is a completely decentralised lending platform built on Ethereum. Users can efficiently lend their crypto assets and earn interest on them using the blockchain's smart contracts algorithm. At $2.33 billion in market capitalisation, their native token, AAVE, is currently the 57th largest cryptocurrency.

    Maker Protocol (MKR)

This is one of the earliest DeFi platforms, focusing on the management of the cryptocurrency market's largest stablecoin, the DAI. By locking in their DAI tokens, which are pegged to the US dollar, users can earn interest on their savings rate contract. Maker's governance token, MKR, enables holders to vote on protocol upgrades such as adding new collateral assets, modifying collateral risk parameters, altering the DAI savings rate, and so on.

    Compound Finance (COMP)

Compound Finance is a September 2018-launched lending protocol. Users can participate in their open lending platform by depositing and earning interest on their Ethereum tokens. With a market cap of $1.179 billion, their native token, COMP, is the 83rd largest cryptocurrency. Additionally, it is a governance token, which means that holders of the token have the ability to vote on protocol changes – for example, changes to collateralization levels or other policy changes.

  • Why Are Analysts Optimistic About Coinbase Stock?

COIN shares have declined from their early November highs, but analysts anticipate further gains. Here are three reasons why Wall Street believes Coinbase stock is currently a good buy.

Coinbase (COIN) is the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform by trading volume in the United States. COIN shares, however, have been quite volatile since going public in April.

Coinbase appears to be extremely sensitive to changes in the price of cryptocurrencies. Coinbase's price has fluctuated between a 52-week high of $429 and a 52-week low of $208 in the last 52 weeks. Shares are currently trading nearly 30% below their initial purchase price.

Nonetheless, the Wall Street consensus is bullish, with analysts forecasting a massive increase in COIN's value by 2022.

The following are the opinions of industry analysts regarding Coinbase's stock.

The prevailing wisdom suggests a strong buy.

At the moment, Wall Street sentiment is extremely bullish on Coinbase stock. It currently has a strong Buy rating and a price target of $398. This equates to a potential gain of more than 63% over current levels.

The Bull Case: $600 as a Suggested Purchase Price

Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson is Coinbase's largest bull at the moment. The stock has a target price of $600, which she has set. This implies a whopping 146 percent increase in value relative to current levels.

COIN was dubbed a "must own" stock when the company went public. Her bull case was based on Coinbase's position as a leading technology company that develops the infrastructure necessary to enable a broader developer ecosystem to use cryptocurrencies. Her target price of $600 was calculated using a revenue multiple of 2023.

A month ago, the analyst reiterated her bullish price target on the stock, citing the company's recent partnerships with Meta (FB) - Get Meta Platforms Inc. Class A Report and the NBA, the implications of the ProShares Bitcoin ETF, and the ongoing dialogue between Coinbase and the US Securities and Exchange Commission regarding cryptocurrencies.

Finally, she sees a bright future for the entire crypto ecosystem, believing that the current decline in digital assets will be much shorter in duration than the declines experienced in 2017 and 2018.

The Bear Case: $160 as a Suggested Purchase Price

On the bearish side, Autonomous Research analyst Christian Bolu initiated coverage of COIN a couple of months ago with a Sell recommendation and a $160 12-month price target. This corresponds to a 35% reduction in value relative to current levels.

The analyst expressed concern about Coinbase's perceived lack of innovation in the cryptocurrency space and its consequent loss of market share to competitors such as Robinhood (HOOD) - Get Robinhood Markets, Inc. Class A Report, FTX, and — most notably — Binance.

Bolu wrote that if Coinbase continues to lag, it risks being left behind in the same way that Netscape was during the early internet era.

Finally, he justified his bearish price target by pointing out that the stock is currently trading at 7 times projected gross profit in 2023. This is compared to traditional exchanges, which are expected to grow at a slower pace and experience greater revenue volatility.

  • Understanding Cryptocurrency Market Capitalisation

Cryptocurrencies, according to some, are the way of the future. Acquiring knowledge about these currencies is critical for these individuals. Therefore, if you are one of them, you have arrived at the right place because we are about to take you on an educational journey where we will teach you everything there is to know about cryptocurrency market capitalisation.

Therefore, take out a notebook and listing to the following aloud like a good child.

    Comprehend Market Capitalisation

Market capitalisation, colloquially referred to as market cap, refers to the total market value of all a company's stock shares. Thus, in the context of cryptocurrency, the market capitalisation refers to the total value of all coins mined.

It is calculated by multiplying the total number of coins by the individual coin's price. For instance, if the market currently has 16 million coins, the market cap can be calculated by taking into account the price of Bitcoin, which can be as high as €35,000.

€35,000 multiplied by 16 million equals 560 billion.

This is a rough estimate of Bitcoin's market capitalisation, and adding the prices of other cryptocurrencies will assist you in determining the market capitalisation of the same. Its objective is to provide a rough estimate of an asset's stability, which makes it ideal for use on all markets. As the figures become available, they can also be used to make comparisons and draw conclusions.

With cryptocurrency being a widely accepted method of payment, particularly at online casino brands such as Winissimo, it's critical to understand everything associated with it.

The Advantages of Market Capitalisation Calculation

Simple market capitalisation figures convey a lot of information, and it is critical to understand how they benefit you.

Assists you in comprehending the true value

When it comes to investing, there are a number of concepts to grasp, one of which is market capitalisation. For instance, if Bitcoin has 200,000 coins worth €2 in circulation and Ethereum has 500,000 coins worth €1, the market capitalisation of these two cryptocurrencies is 400,000 and 500,000, respectively.

This clearly demonstrates that, despite the fact that Bitcoin is more expensive than Ethereum, Ethereum has the most value. These figures represent specific factors to consider when investing.

Allows for comparisons to be made

As demonstrated in the preceding example, market cap can be used to make comparisons and then make informed decisions. While we may believe that one currency is performing better than another, we must first understand its true value before proceeding with investments.

Therefore, compare the value of cryptocurrencies and then make informed decisions in order to mitigate financial risks.

    This results in classifications

Additionally, the market cap categorises and divides the cryptocurrency market. The classifications of cryptocurrencies range from large-cap to small-cap. While large-cap cryptocurrencies have a greater liquidity, mid-cap cryptocurrencies carry a higher risk, and small-cap cryptocurrencies are known to experience dramatic price fluctuations.

Large-cap cryptocurrencies have a market capitalisation of greater than €10 billion, while mid-cap cryptocurrencies have a market capitalisation of between €1 billion and €10 billion. Small-cap cryptocurrencies have a market capitalisation of less than €1 billion.

    Reduces danger

While it is self-evident that market caps help mitigate risk, it is still necessary to mention it. This additional benefit provided by market capitalisation should not be overlooked and should always be considered a significant factor.

Therefore, it is critical to comprehend the various market caps that appear and to make effective use of them.

  • Visa‘s Head of Crypto Explains Why Visa Will Continue to Contribute to the Crypto Ecosystem

Cuy Sheffield, Visa's head of crypto, recently stated in an interview with New Delhi TV (NDTV) that the global payments giant will continue to support the global ecosystem following the launch of the Global Crypto Advisory service earlier this month.

"Crypto is a cool asset," according to Visa's head of product

Cuy Sheffield of Visa previously described cryptocurrency as a "cool" asset. He explained this to an NDTV reporter, stating that digital currencies are now attracting a greater number of financial institutions than ever before. Around 40% of cryptocurrency owners are willing to abandon traditional banks in favour of those that offer products based on digital currencies.

Sheffield also noted that the cryptosphere has grown significantly in recent years, expanding from simple investment and payment to discovering new works of music and art. He believes that when crypto-related mobile apps become fully integrated into consumers' daily lives, they have a strong chance of becoming "super apps."

Visa is closely monitoring the NFT sector

According to Sheffield, Visa is closely monitoring the NFT space at the moment, as it has developed into a rapidly growing trend with an increasing number of users.

He believes that small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) can benefit from non-fungible tokens in novel ways. NFTs enable businesses to create and sell digital goods at a low cost, and these goods can be instantly delivered to users' digital wallets.

Visa's head of crypto believes that in the future, the value and importance of a user's crypto address and email address will be comparable.

Additionally, Visa recently purchased $150,000 worth of NFTs. The company believes that non-fungible tokens will begin to play a significant role in retail, social media, commerce, and the entertainment industry.

The number of Visa employees who work with cryptocurrency has risen to hundreds

Visa's work in the cryptocurrency industry has accelerated significantly in recent months. The number of employees working on crypto in some capacity has risen to several hundred from a handful just a few years ago.

Additionally, the payments processing giant's partnership with cryptocurrency companies has recently increased to 60.

Visa wants to improve its understanding of cryptocurrency, as well as its customers' attitudes towards this nascent but rapidly maturing industry. Numerous Visa customers believe that cryptocurrency will play a role in the monetary system's future transformation.

  • Paraguay Passes Cryptocurrency Regulation Bill, Targeting Mining Companies

On Thursday, the Paraguayan Senate passed a bill regulating cryptocurrency mining and trading in the country.

A Bill Is Being Introduced To Regulate Cryptocurrency Trading

The Paraguayan Senate passed a bill on Thursday regulating Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading and mining in the country. Senator Fernando Silva Facetti, co-author of the bill, announced on Twitter that it will now be debated in the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay in 2022.

The bill does not make bitcoin legal tender in Paraguay. A sneak peek at the draught bill was released in July during a conversation with Paraguayan Congressman Carlitos Rejala. The bill hinted at tighter regulatory oversight of bitcoin mining by the country's regulators, as well as an overarching goal of protecting investors from enterprises that offer bitcoin services.

    At the time, Rejala stated,

"With this, we want to formally welcome to the world the innovation of cryptocurrencies in Paraguay. This is the result of a long and arduous collaboration between a large number of experts in the field, both domestic and international."

According to the bill, the Industry and Commerce Secretariat will be in charge of crypto mining in the country, with the Anti-Money Laundering Office and the National Securities Commission assisting. Meanwhile, the National Electricity Administration will be responsible for regulating the activity.

Meanwhile, despite the bill's omission of the term "exchange," it clearly implies some form of record-keeping for any individual or established business entity interested in providing cryptocurrency trading or custody services to others.

    Paraguay Pursues Cryptocurrency Miners

The bill also recognises that Paraguay consumes less than one-third of the energy it produces. If cryptocurrency mining activities are properly regulated, they will almost certainly compensate for the thousands of megawatts of electricity that Paraguay currently does not use.

In summary, the law aims to capitalise on the Latin American country's energy surplus, and as previously stated, it will be debated by the Chamber of Deputies in 2022.

According to the bill, bitcoin miners could benefit from "thousands of megawatts that Paraguay currently has in surplus," assuming they comply with the country's restrictions. According to the legislation, the industry would be jointly regulated by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the National Securities Commission, the Anti-Money Laundering Office, and the National Electricity Administration in Paraguay.

According to congressman Rejala, one of the primary attractions for mining companies is the low cost of electricity in Paraguay, which is approximately $0.05 per kilowatt-hour.
