A West Clare town has the third-lowest average household income nationwide.
New data published by the Central Statistics Office has revealed that Kilrush has the highest proportion of people in the county making less than €20,000 a year.
Meanwhile, the town at the top of Clare’s household income table is Sixmilebridge, where residents make €53,666 on average.
To discuss this further, Alan Morrissey was joined by Mary O'Donoghue of West Clare Family Resource Centre and Alan O'Callaghan as Mayor of Clare to give a regional imbalance overview and Sixmilebridge angle as local councillor.
