Some people believe that everyone is born good, but their environment makes them bad. However, the Bible teaches us that the environment is bad because no one is born good! Even with evil born in our hearts, others who are moral and push you toward right living and thinking might have a legitimate benefit temporarily. Nevertheless, none of these efforts can take away the evil, or more importantly forgive us. Forgiveness and true repentance can only come through a relationship with Jesus.
