It was a tough weekend for the football team, which fell at Arizona State and saw two potentially season ending injuries in Ryan Moeller and Tim Lynott. The Buffs had a 27-17 lead entering the fourth quarter but fell 41-30 to fall to 5-5. The Buffs host USC Saturday for Senior Day. The women’s basketball team defeated Colorado Christian 90-55 in an exhibition game. The volleyball team continued its hot streak by sweeping No. 11 Washington Friday to win its fourth straight and eighth in its last nine matches. The soccer team ended the regular season by beating Utah 2-0 Friday and will hear its postseason fate later today when the NCAA selections take place.

The men’s basketball team played Colorado-Mines Monday night coming away with a 78-52 win with nine players who have never seen action getting their first taste. What a weekend! After a week of uncertainty, quarterback Steven Montez and the Buffs responded with their best game of the season, a 44-28 win over Cal. Hear from Montez and coach Mike MacIntyre. The Buffs travel to Tempe to face Arizona State next Saturday. The women’s cross country team won a Pac-12 Championship for the third season in a row and Dani Jones became the first CU runner since Jenny Simpson to win the individual title. The men’s team finished second and Joe Klecker finished second. The volleyball and soccer teams both swept the Oregon schools on the road. The soccer team now has 10 victories with one regular season match at Utah left. The volleyball team is now 17-6 overall. Volleyball will play Washington State Wednesday and Washington Friday. The men’s basketball team plays an exhibition game against Colorado-Mines tonight at the Events Center. Hear from coach Tad Boyle.

Just one more day until Homecoming as Cal visits Folsom Field. The Buffs still have questions at quarterback, with the starter having not been announced between Sam Noyer and Steven Montez. Among other activities at Homecoming, Heisman Trophy winner Rashaan Salaam’s No. 19 will be retired and the 1967 Bluebonnet Bowl team will be honored 50 years later. Hear from Coach Mike MacIntyre about Salaam. The men’s basketball team got some bad news from the NCAA as Evan Battey will be forced to redshirt due to academics stemming from 5-6 years ago. Hear from coach Tad Boyle and Battey, who’s mature beyond his years. The men’s hoops team will host a public scrimmage at 9:30 am ahead of the football game. The soccer team beat Oregon State 1-0 and set a program record 12th shutout on the season. The Buffs are 9-5-4 overall with two regular season games remaining. The volleyball team is also in Oregon to face the Ducks tonight and Beavers tomorrow. The Pac-12 Cross Country Championship is also in Oregon, set to take place this morning and the men’s golf team is in Hawaii competing Sunday through Tuesday.
