The Growing Cubs podcast is back with its 10th interviewee, Cubs pitching prospect Max Bain. Max joins Jimmy and Greg to discuss his body transformation, his unique journey to the Cubs system through division II and independent baseball, his data driven development using Rapsodo, and his offseason workout plans.

Then the boys get into the meat of the episode as they brought on one of the top pitching prospects in the system, Riley Thompson (22:00). In one of the best player interviews so far, Thompson talks about his development without a MiLB season, the status of his improving changeup, and his pitch sequencing techniques.

Bryan Smith is back as the first ever recurring guest on the Growing Cubs Podcast to give his thoughts on the Cubs new draft picks (1:40). We come to you with an emergency episode, but just wish it was under better circumstances. Minor League Baseball announced on Tuesday that there will officially be no season in 2020. Greg and Jimmy hop on the podcast to mourn the loss and talk about the impact it has on the sport, the league, and the development of players.

The guys get another Cubs minor league broadcaster on the podcast this week, as Brendan King joins them to talk about his career and the players he has seen along the way.
