Greg and Jimmy are back this week with a very special guest! Phil Goyette, writer for RotoBaller, Baseball Farm, and Baseball America joins the Growing Cubs Podcast to take a deep dive into the Cubs prospects whose numbers may be even better than they appear (33:50). The Growing Cubs Podcast is back with their weekly podcast to discuss the second week of the MiLB season and introduce new segments into the show. Greg and Jimmy begin the episode with a new segment Top Tier Update (2:50), then move on to Dude of the Week (21:45), Bandwagon Jumper (28:10), You Hate to See It (37:50), You Love to See It (47:00), and Quirky Stat of the Week (51:12). They end the episode discussing if adding a fifth infielder when a sinker baller is on the mound would be beneficial.

Greg and Jimmy are back to cover real, live, in the flesh, minor league baseball that was played last week! First, the guys bring back The Dudes segment (16:55) and discuss the Cubs prospects on the major league squad (24:56). Then, during the second half of the episode, they wrap up the second half of the episode with updates on all of the Cubs minor league affiliates: Iowa (29:00), Tennessee (40:25), South Bend 47:57), and Myrtle Beach (58:47).

The time has finally arrived! Minor league opening day is here and we say goodbye to the longest offseason in recorded history with a jam-packed episode! We lead off with some analysis of Keegan Thompson's MLB debut (3:45) and the unfortunate news of Jack Patterson's injury (7:45). The meat of this episode comes as we break down each of the official opening day rosters. We run through the guys to keep an eye on at Myrtle Beach (14:00), South Bend (35:00), Tennessee (49:30), and Iowa (59:15). Let the games begin!

Jimmy and Greg are back with this week with another interview with guest prospect Max Bain. For the first half of the podcast, Max gives the guys news on his first experience in camp, what he has been working on, and his goals for 2021. During the second half, Jimmy and Greg give updates on how some other prospects have been performing in Arizona.

Adbert Alzolay made the opening day rotation in Chicago so Greg and Jimmy take some time to appreciate him before he graduates from the prospect world (5:00). The surprising news in the system came when Duncan Robinson announced his retirement (13:30) and the news also broke regarding the 20-round MLB Draft and International Free Agency bonus allotments (15:15). The guys break down a bit of the alternate roster in South Bend (21:15) and then end the show with some prospect predictions for this upcoming season (25:15), covering everything from Pitcher of the Year to the number of positions Chase Strumpf will play!

In what will be the final episode before prospects report to Spring Training, the guys discuss one prospect that is hoping to be far away from Arizona come April - PJ Higgins (3:20). Now that Manfred is taking over the world and instituting his new rules across the minor leagues, Greg and Jimmy thought they could take it upon themselves to talk about how much they hate shifts and pitch clocks (14:45).
