Taking a break to travel and be present with family and friends! We haven't been State side in a year, and I we have full schedules with visiting everyone and I want to take full advantage of my time with people. We will take a break until late August! Having difficulties falling asleep? We've all been there at some point. Here are some helpful tips, backed by neuroscience of course, to help you get a restful nights sleep. We are going over things that Dr. Andrew Huberman and Dr. David Spiegel suggest doing: like eating 2-3 hours before bedtime, dimming the lights, creating a routine, to learning about cortisol and GABA receptors when you are feeling the wired but tired feeling at night. 

Together we will explore things you can do to fall asleep quickly and stay asleep.

We don't need to spend 2 hours on our morning routines to start the day off right. Your morning routine should however consist of 5 things - which are backed by neuroscience) to help you optimize your morning. These include, delaying dopamine - meaning don't drink coffee within the first hour of waking up, getting some movement in, exposing yourself to sunlight - there are alternatives if you are unable to go outside, and more.

We all want to be living our dream life, yet sometimes we get so caught up in life, we put ourselves and our life on the back burner - or, we don't believe that we could actually ever live the life we romanticize and fantasize. I'm here to tell you, that once you learn a little bit about how your brain functions, what your patterns and habits are, and what is really holding you back - you can achieve that dream life. 

We are looking at parts of the brain, why the primitive brain is holding you back, and we are discussing how to become more aware, aligned, and how to start taking that action that will lead you to your goals. Hey hey hey! We are talking about why your house seems like it stays cluttered and physical entropy starts to set in and you are feeling dismissed, frustrated, and resentment towards yourself and your environment. And this isn't a place we want to stay in for very long! Let's look at why our environment can get messy, and what to do about it. 

I take excerpts from one of my favorite books, "Atomic Habits," by James Clear because we need to understand our "home" habits. Why do things pile up? What are we not doing? What habits are we creating? Are we skipping clean the kitchen up at night in order to watch a tv show? How we operate in our minds and bodies can reflect our environment. You are stressed at work can turn into a messy house because you need to relieve the stress from work before tackling your piled up shit. It's learning about your cycle and patterns and what is creating your habits and what habits do you want to have in the future. 

We discuss the outcome based habit cycle and the identity based habit cycle, how craving plays a role in building habits, we define routines and how they matter, and you are learning about and understanding yourself a little bit better. 

For those who feel stressed out and overwhelmed with all the things that have to do with the mental load and cleaning the house and organizing, you aren't alone. Let's talk about it. Together.

Confidence is fostered through self-care, self-trust, resiliency, and self-belief. 

Learning to be confident looks differently on everyone because we all have different areas of life we want to be more confident in. That could look like feeling more confident in your own skin, on a soccer field, up on stage during presentations, at a new job, as a parent. 

Once you gain confidence in one area of your life, confidence will trickle into other areas. Because how we do one thing is how we do everything - that's a famous quote I believe, but I forgot who said it.
