Cult Talks: Weird Shit

Get ready for some serial killers.

On today's episode, we put the focus on the real life monsters roaming America. First, Ben takes us to the American south (again), this time for the Louisiana Axeman. Next, Bailey takes us over to Texas for the mysterious story of the I-45 body dumping ground known as the Killing Fields.

And lastly, Ian somehow manages to end on a relatively high note, with the story of a modern killer who picked the wrong victim.

Let's get weird.

What's the weirdest Christmas tradition your family does?

We have a special gift... four stories! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, cozy up to a Yule Log or Tio de Nadal and listen as Eric describes strange traditions associated with the holiday.

Next, Michael talks about a restaurant that (almost) never closes, before Ian discusses a UFO sighting that happened the day after Christmas. And lastly, Ben has another war story, but this one is more inspiring than most.

Happy holidays, let's get weird.

Wanna hear more weird recordings?

Good, because we explore secret radio stations and their coded messages, but first, Tyler joins us remotely to delight us with ridiculous fad diets from the past before Eric talks more about the mysterious Les UX in Paris that we met in the last episode. They do more than just set up movie theaters in glorified caves.

Let's get weird.

Welcome to a bonus episode of Cult Talks: Weird Shit, where Ian tells us 6 true stories about people who suffered a bizarre death. So what's the lie? In two of the six true stories, the person involved in the accident actually survived.

Can you guess who lived through their weird accident?

What's the weirdest movie theater you've ever been to?

With theaters opening back up, it's the perfect time for Eric to take us to an underground movie theater in Paris. Literally underground, in the catacombs.

Next, Ben tells the tale of a serial killer who puts Jack the Ripper to shame. If he even existed.

And lastly, Ian cranks the tunes and fucks up some pronunciation, because we are looking at three historic battles so devastating, heroic, or unusual, that they inspired songs by heavy metal bands.

Let's get weird.

What's the weirdest correlation you've heard all day?

Today's episode ditches the themes and returns to a random grab bag. First, Michael regales us with strange data sets that seem to correlate, despite a total lack of logical links. Then Ian takes over, telling us first about a small town's bullying problem, and then tells us one of his favorite hilarious stories about the single most incompetent naval deployment of all time.

As usual, let's get weird.

What's the creepiest shit you've heard all day?

Happy Halloween, it's time to get weird. Ian brings us to New Jersey to hear the unbelievable variety of stories from a haunted road. Next, Ben takes us to Saskatchewan for a true crime tale with a possible supernatural twist. We skip over to Ireland next for the bloody and violent story of Leap Castle, before landing back in the US to learn about about Oregon Vortex.

Let's get spooky.
