The definition of Imposter Syndrome is the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills.

 

But do we deserve it?  Do we achieve things because we're THAT good and have it all figured out?

 

No, we ALL have doubt and we ALL learn along the way through our success and failures!  Instead of trying to overcome Imposter Syndrome, what if we embraced it?  

 

In 2 Corinthians 12:9 says: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

 

Where we can't, He can!  There is so much peace in that!

How many times have you taken a picture only to delete it because you don't look good enough?  

 

So often we women take pictures and then hover around the camera critiquing ourselves and making sure the picture is approved for social media... or do we need to take another one? 

 

In today's episode I share a story of a time when some girlfriends and I were doing just that and my friends husband said 7 words that hit me in the heart and put us all in our place.  

 

Plus another uplifting quote and bible verse to remind us that a picture doesn't define us.  Let's be an example to our daughters and shine with confidence, not self doubt and vanity.

How to lose weight with joy?!?  Is that even possible? 

 

Why yes, yes is it!  What a relieve, huh!? 

 

I know you want to lose weight and you probably feel like if you could just lose those pounds you'd be happier!  "If I could just get to (enter goal weight here) I'd finally be able to (enter exciting goal that you for some reason believe you can't reach without losing weight here!)."

 

I'm here to tell you, that's not true!  It's time to STOP waiting on the weight and START living your life RIGHT NOW! Life is too short not to and you were created for so much more than wasting all your time focusing on food and your thighs!

Did you know we can be more of the World OR more of the Word!?

 

When we’re of the world we often can get caught in the comparison trap and feel less attractive, unworthy, unloved, lost, and wonder what we have to offer.

 

When we're in the Word, we find peace and joy with things that are actually important so we don't feel the need to compete!

 

I wanted to do this episode in order to create a “tool box” of Bible verses that you can keep with you so whenever the enemy is getting you down, you can pull it out and remember WHO God created you to be!

 

You are so special and you can’t forget that! I pray these verses help you to RISE UP, know your worth, and remember who created you and that you have SO MUCH to offer!

Sometimes we feel like we want to be told exactly what to eat so we think a diet will work by giving us strict instructions to follow and see results.  

 

Then we start the diet regimen and eventually feel restricted, annoyed, and consumed with making food choices we don't want to make!  Like ordering a grilled chicken salad instead of pizza!  The diet rollercoaster is filled with ups and downs, restriction, and binge eating!  NO FUN!!!

 

In today's episode I share with you exactly how I eat and 3 questions I consistently ask myself in order to be a conscious and present eater instead of eating out of habit, eating out of frustration and binging, or simply overeating. 

 

I hope these three questions help you to become more self aware and take better control of your choices too!  Remember, nutrition doesn't have to be so hard!  ALL foods are invited at the table and you shouldn't feel guilty about that, you just need to learn how to do it in a healthy way!
