I have a little surprise for you today… today, it’s just going to be me and you. There is no guest on the show, meaning this is my first ever SOLO show. Some of my favorite podcast episodes are when the podcast host is solo, so this has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time & I couldn’t be more excited that you’re sharing this special moment with me.

So let’s start with a little background on what I’m going to chat about today. I graduated from The Fashion School at Kent State University back in May 2017, and one of the senior awards that I won was Outstanding Merchandising Award. There are only two of these awards that are granted every year, one for a merchandising student and one for a design student. It became a tradition for the outstanding fashion student winners to speak to the following year’s graduating class about our lives one year after college. You all probably know this by now, but I LOVE to talk, and more specifically I LOVE to present. Getting up on a stage or in front of a camera brings me to life, so naturally I was excited for this opportunity the second I was awarded the scholarship.

This episode I’m about to play for you guys is a version of the speech I gave to these graduating students. Listen, you do not having to be graduating in order to benefit from this episode. I am going to talk about all of the things I’ve learned about myself and about life within the past year after college graduation. A year doesn’t seem like that long, but when you’re thrown into the big world you’ll be AMAZED at how much your brain can absorb. I’m going to touch on all the things, from figuring out what you TRULY want from life to books you need to read.
