In this episode, I’m speaking honestly about regret.

The past five months have stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. I gave too much to the wrong person. I ignored red flags. I chose gentleness when maybe I should have chosen distance. Sometimes I wish I could be mean. I wish I could detach faster. I wish I didn’t love so deeply.

I’m in Trinidad gearing up for carnival celebration while being on an emotional roller coaster and it sucks. One minute I feel there’s progress the next everything has gone to shit again. If I could offer any advice don’t be like me. Focus on yourself, enjoy your carnival and come out of this season of lessons.

It’s time to be wise.

Regulating your nervous system isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about teaching your body that it’s safe now.

For me, regulation came when I stopped forcing closeness and started choosing peace. When I honored my limits. When I let space be care instead of punishment. A regulated nervous system doesn’t chase reassurance or confuse intensity with intimacy.

It allows joy without bracing for loss. Love without survival mode. Presence without panic.

Choosing calmer waters is healing
