I am thinking of creating a career in the events industry - but I am overwhelmed and little uncertain where to start. I'm also skeptical as the market already seems so saturated with so many designers out there who I admire. How would you suggest I go about it? In another solo episode, Supriya shares with you several tips for those of you that are skeptical about starting their own career in the events insudtry: 1. There's only one you - There might be that one X-factor within yourself and the special thing is only YOU have it. That is your power.

2. Honor your calling - If doing that one thing makes you feel complete, not pursuing it is a disservice to the world.

3. Let yourself bloom - If a bud wants to bloom, it doesn't allow itself to feel intimidated by other flowers that are already flourishing. It just blooms.

4. Silence the negativity - Lean unto thoughts that give you excitement and joy.

5. Think big - Start by visualizing where you want yourself to spark the fire within.

6. Consistent actions - Ask yourself everyday if you've done your best to move closer to your goals. 7. One day at a time - Results won't happen overnight so be patient and enjoy the journey.

7. Release expectations - One thing to absolutely not do is being too hard on yourself by setting unrealistic expectations. Trust your own timing.
