An intimately personal episode on Cure Rated. I’m interviewed by my dear friend Sabrina Beraja, exploring my journey as “The Rolling Sloan” since 2018, my undergrad into graduate studies, personal challenges (health, relationships, family), my time as a yoga instructor, my time (unexpectedly) living in Uruguay as a personal full-time health coach, studying Kabbalah, and lots more. And also, of course, my friendship with Sab.
While this only scratches the surface, I go deeper here than I have on any other interview or post. I look forward to sharing stories that I never have before.
Today we’re talking about what happens when you start living healthier… and your relationships start to shift because of it. It’s about the very real, very common friction that can arise between personal growth and interpersonal connection. Whether you’re dating, married, building friendships, or simply becoming more conscious of how you live — there comes a moment when the habits you love start to feel like they’re creating distance from the people you love. Sometimes, the more aligned you feel in your own body and mind, the more misaligned you might start feel with others.
This episode is for the person who is trying to balance their relationships with their lifestyle, who is craving more alignment in their community, who may be scared to jump into new habits at all because they’re afraid of judgement or rocking the boat on the norms in their life.
In today’s episode we dive into the Female Biorhythm. This is essentially a crash course on everything female hormonal cycle and cycle syncing. We cover the main reproductive hormones like estrogen and progesterone as well as a few more, and what those look like when they’re balanced or imbalanced. We of course dive into the 4 different phases of the cycle from Menstruation to Follicular to Ovulation and the Luteal phase, and go into the show to "Cycle Sync" your life to adapt your lifestyle, exercise and nutrition to each phase. All so that you can first of all understand your body more, and live in sync with your body’s natural rhythms, not against them.
