In this week's episode we are talking about drugs... particularly Salvia & Scopolamine

There are over 900 salvia species but we're talking about Salvia divinorum.  This species has been used for thousands of years in sacred ceremonies and to heal the ill.  However, in more recent years, this hallucinogenic has made its way to the US for recreational purposes and the stories go far beyond their healing properties..

As for Scopolamine, we bring you information on this drug as a word of warning.  It has been labled the most dangerous drug in the world and comes with the moniker "Devil's breath."  Not only this, but it may have been utilized in top secret programs and play a part in a much bigger conspiracy.

We hope you enjoy and HAVE THE DAY YOU DESERVE!

Cheers,

This week's card pull...

The VIII of Swords...

The Eight of Swords depicts a woman who is blindfolded and bound, surrounded by eight swords. This imagery symbolizes a sense of being trapped, restricted, or immobilized, often by one's own thoughts or perceptions. The card represents a situation where you may feel stuck or unable to move forward, suggesting that you are confined by your own fears, doubts, or negative thoughts. The restrictions you experience might be self-imposed, stemming from overthinking or allowing anxiety to dominate your actions.

The blindfold on the figure indicates a lack of clarity or awareness, implying that removing it, in a metaphorical sense, could allow you to gain perspective and see the situation as it truly is. This card often appears when you are at a crossroads or hesitant to make a decision, urging you to confront your fears and take action.

In a Tarot reading, the Eight of Swords suggests that while the situation may seem dire, there is always a way out. It encourages introspection, facing fears, and realizing that the obstacles you perceive may not be as insurmountable as they appear.

Have a wonderful weekend ⭐️

This week Katie brings us the murder of Kim Wall.

Kim was a vivacious investigative journalist from Sweden who pushed the limits of her writing career and produced award winning and captivating articles on fringe and lesser known topics, people and ideas.

In 2017, she was tasked by an unknown media outlet to interview a Danish entrepreneur, Peter Madsen.  The two set out for a tour of the ocean on his submarine.  But things didn't end as expected.  Madsen murdered Wall during this interview.  He was charged with first degree murder and serving a life sentence in a Denmark Prison.

This is a tragic tale of a life cut short.  Kim Wall was ambitious and gritty and her death is a true loss to journalism and humanity at large.

This week's card is...

The IX of Swords..

The IX of Swords is commonly associated with themes of anxiety, fear, and mental anguish. When this card appears upright, it often represents intense mental distress, worry, and fear. These feelings might arise from a specific situation or stem from general anxiety. The IX of Swords can signify sleepless nights, nightmares, or being kept awake by troubling thoughts. It is also linked to feelings of guilt, regret, or self-criticism, which can cause emotional pain. This card suggests a tendency to overthink or obsess over problems, leading to a spiral of negative thoughts, and may evoke a sense of hopelessness or being overwhelmed by challenges.

The imagery on the IX of Swords typically shows a figure sitting up in bed, often with their head in their hands, clearly distressed. This image symbolizes the torment of the mind and the inability to escape troubling thoughts, even during rest. The swords hanging on the wall represent the burdensome thoughts or worries weighing on the person's mind.

In a Tarot reading, the IX of Swords serves as a reminder to address your fears and anxieties directly, seek support if needed, and work towards finding peace of mind.

This week we pulled...

THE CHARIOT!

This card is rich in symbolism and typically features a figure riding in a chariot pulled by two sphinxes. The imagery of The Chariot represents a journey or forward motion. The charioteer, usually depicted as a confident and focused figure, embodies control, determination, and the willpower necessary to succeed. The two sphinx pulling the chariot, often of different colors, represent opposing forces or dualities, such as light and dark or conscious and unconscious elements. The charioteer must skillfully maintain control and balance over these forces to move forward.

The armor worn by the charioteer signifies protection, strength, and resilience, suggesting readiness to face whatever lies ahead. In the background of the card, there is often a city, symbolizing the departure from the familiar and the embarkation on a journey into the unknown.

Overall, The Chariot embodies themes of control, willpower, and the capacity to overcome challenges through focused effort. It represents a clear sense of direction and purpose, as well as the perseverance necessary to achieve one's goals.

Take the guidance you need and have a great weekend!

It's LEO SZN !!!! 🦁 And this is our Leo SZN Serial Killer episode!

Today we are bringing you the tale of Karl "Papa" Danke, also known as the Cannibal of Ziębice.

Danke was born in August -- LEO -- in Prussia, now modern day Poland.   He was well liked within his community as an active member of the church and regularly being charitable with his meat supply.  Out of his store front, he sold leather suspenders, leather belts, shoe laces, and pickled pork.  But one day, when a tenet of his boarding home heard cries for help coming from his flat, his gimmick was up.

After a man claimed Danke attacked him with an ax, the police brought sweet, innocent Danke down to the station for questioning.  They let him sleep in the station for his own protection but when they found him hanging in his cell the next morning, the police began their investigation.  What they found changed their perception of this good hearted man forever...

Enjoy! and Happy Leo SZN!
