What would you be willing to give up to have a stable, predictable and safe life? Stable money, stable love, stable body/health… everything nice and predictably controllable.

What would you be willing to give up to have an adventurous, free, and beautifully surprising life? Adventurous money, adventurous love, adventurous body…. everything out of control and unpredictable.

And what if you had to choose between these options?

If so, which would you choose?

What if it’s your stories that are encouraging your choice here? Not your awareness.

We all have our stories.

How we grew up, the struggles, the achievements, the joys and the heartbreaks. Our stories create our identity, which creates our limitations. Our stories tell us what’s safe, what’s we are capable of, and what will happen if ______ (fill in the blank).

So if you didn’t have any stories, no reference point for anything, what would you choose then?

The truth is being is never a burden.

You can’t take up space when you are being.

You can’t take from someone when you are being.

Your being is always a gift, regardless of whether it is received.

How many positions, roles, and agreements do you have in effect right now? And how many of them are you resisting?

We say yes to roles and positions all of the time without actually being aware of what is being asked of us and without being willing to commit to fulfilling them. This is a recipe for disharmony.

Roles and positions can be enforced things that you can clear, setting you and them free.

Roles and positions can also be generative possibilities that you can claim, own, and acknowledge, which allows you to show up dynamically and allows that position to show up dynamically for you! It’s a win-win.

So, have you actually claimed your position?

No matter where you land on the “hierarchy”, what if claiming your position is the action required to catalyze the ease and expansion of your life?

Give and Take.

Tit for Tat.

Everything in life is a transaction.

I give you money, you give me the product.

I work for you, and you pay me money.

I buy you a gift for your birthday, you buy me a gift for my birthday.

Did the last one catch your attention?

It’s easy to see where transactions are helpful in the society we live in. I wouldn't want someone looting my store and not paying for anything.

But where are you functioning from transactional reality and not realizing it?

If someone does something nice for you, do you immediately start thinking of what you can do in return? Are you keeping score and trying to make it even? Or better yet, make sure others are in a deficit with you?

Keeping score cards and functioning from transactional reality can only get you so far.

Recently, I have noticed more and more studies around the impact it has on the body when someone doesn’t feel safe.
But what if you never feel safe?

True safety comes from awareness.
It comes from knowing, being, perceiving and receiving. Not from a conclusion that someone or something is “safe”.
