Just this past week, a South African woman was arrested for smuggling over 110 drug bullets, the highest number discovered in recent years. This incident highlights a growing trend, with at least 14 drug mules arrested in the past few weeks alone. But what drives individuals to take such extreme risks, and what does this say about the state of drug trafficking in the country?
