This week’s podcasts brings you face to face with two of the people that brought you one of last year’s most beautifully designed and performed shows. McQueen started out in London at the St James Theatre in Victoria, and following a successful run transferred to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End.

Traditionally at Shakespeare's Globe in London, one would come to expect a nice little jig to send you skipping out of they foyer onto the South Bank. We take you backstage to visit Shakespeare's Globe's production of "Imogen" and reveal the joy behind their modern version which turns the idea of a jig on its head.

October 10, 2016 was Stage Managers Day, and this week we're taking you backstage to meet the guys that keep the shows going. Whether it's calling the show or making sure an actor goes on stage with the right wardrobe and props... if it wasn't for the stage management the show definitely would not go!

This week I return to the Hampstead Theatre, where we covered Mr Foote’s Other Leg last year, to bring you backstage to meet the company of “Labyrinth”. Labyrinth is Beth Steel’s new play about the Latin American Financial Crisis in the late 1970’s.  

I talked to the company about their research into the financial machinations of big bank loans, and whether or not they thought we have learned anything from prior financial crises.

This week, we visit London's King's Cross Theatre to talk to two-time Olivier Award winner David Bedella - if God has a voice, surely it must sound like David's!  David's journey from Broadway to the West End is a fascinating tale of hard work and perseverance, combined with a splash of serendipity.  It doesn't hurt that he is genuinely one of the nicest guys in the business.  David discusses his current role, playing "Kevin" in 'In the Heights' as well as 'Jerry Springer the Opera', and turning down the chance to play The Engineer in 'Miss Saigon'.
