It's been exactly 100 episodes since Charlie MaSheen & KASH have sat across from the Mattapan bred crooner, Triy, and the timing couldn't be any more perfect to welcome him back to the pod! After their last meet, the R&B artist has been keeping his creativity active while working with other artists like Tailored & Bia Javier under his imprint T.RI.Y. Records, dropped new music and ultimately led up to his 2022 effort "Did You Forget". While cultivating his first headlining show at the historical Middle East club in Cambridge, Triy reached out to Charlie MaSheen to host the event and just a short week later we had to re-cap what's been going on!
Join us while we have an in-depth conversation about Triy's latest album, how life has changed since episode 51, a little trolling about R&Beef, and SO MUCH MORE. T wouldn't be right if we didn't take the time to talk about the GEM of a soul who was Jefe Replay and how he had an early impact on Triy's work. TAP IN!!!

It's been quite a while since we've sat across from a guest who lives so heavily in the social media comedy space; 84 episodes ago to be exact. Everybody loves a good laugh and within the last the last 5-10 years the internet has been completely undefeated. During that time, there have been some emerging talents within our own city who have made a name for themselves whether it be from online skits, stand-up, and even films. Amongst those names, one of the stand outs have been Derek Gaines who often goes by his alias "Amerika". Starting off with an assortment of hilarious skits with some of his friends, the Roxbury native was able to build a sizable following in and outside of The Commonwealth. Leaving home for growth worked in his favor as he's also been able to create some pretty cool relationships with other entertainers and even manages some of the day-to-day operations for Mona from "Dont Call Me White Girl" podcast (who was previously a co-host on Gillie & Wallo's "Million Dollars Worth Of Game" podcast).

It's been a long time coming but we definitely wanted to give Amerika his flowers and catch some rec all while getting to know the comedian some more. Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, and KASH as they host Derek Gaines and talk about his start in comedy skits, why Mona would come for Mattapan the way she recently did on her podcast, how Shanelle could potentially ruin a bag for us, ALL LADIES NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE GUY WHO CREATD "MOE MONEY PROMOTIONZ", and so much more! We spoke about a lot and had a lot of fun be we also unpacked some really serious conversations. TAP IN!!!

There's no greater feeling than when we have a repeat guest and we're able to track the progress from our previous sit down with them. In reality if there is no progress there probably wouldn't be a 2nd sit down. In this case we're talking about one of the most consistent Rap artists in the game, let alone Massachusetts! Termanology left our podcast last November with 43 projects out in total and returned this week with 45! The Hip-Hop staple made his way to eXpozedTV Studios for the first time and gave us a conversation that literally made us feel like it was a continuation of our last.

On this episode Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, and KASH host the Lawrence native and talk about his last two albums "Start 2 Finish" (with Paul Wall) and the most recent "DeTERMination". The unexpected collaboration with Paul Wall was not only a surprise to Hip-Hop fans everywhere, but it was an instant classic and in most cases gave fans a new-found respect from the Houston chop-and-screwed rapper. DeTERMination gave a feel of nostalgia with the intro from DJ Kay Slay and features from the likes of Tony Sunshine, Fredro Starr, & the legendary Kool G Rap!!! Besides music we also touched on Termanology's coveted brand "Good Dad Gang" which had a recent collab with Ewing Athletics as he released his own sneaker, his support for other Mass artists like Bia, Millyz, & Wizz Dakota, the passing of the rapper's father, & SO MUCH MORE! When Term agreed to this interview he told us he wasn't rapping but he surprised us with a CLASSIC #RedCupsAndRap freestyle and also brought along a friend Fabeyon from Springfield to bless us with even more heat! This was such an in-depth and moving podcast– definitely one you won't want to snooze on! TAP IN!!!

For most music enthusiasts, the best way for them to feel connected to their favorite artists is through live performances. Seeing their favorite records come to life is probably the closest they’ll ever get to said artist. In the instances that they aren’t privy to these experiences they may heavily rely on videos or photos to capture the moments on those stages and there are people who help capture the vibes. Angel Ocasio is one these people and he’s had the opportunity to shoot some stunning photos of some of the biggest artists in all types of genres of music. Names like J.I The Prince of N.Y, Lil Uzi Vert, Tokischa, and Bad Bunny are some of the musicians Angel has had the chance to take some pictures of. With him being from Framingham and us catching wind of his talents, it’s only right that we had to get the take of music from the perspective of a “Creative Dot Connector” as he likes to describe it.
Join us this week as Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH welcome Angel Ocasio to the pod. During the sit down we discuss photographer/videographer’s story and how he got into the field, the names he's worked with relationships he’s built, his feelings towards a often talked about event promoter from the scene,  the BMAs, and SO MUCH MORE‼️ This conversation was fun, refreshing and and it even got sad when discussing some things about his personal life. We’re sure this will be a favorite for a lot of our supporters. TAP IN‼️

When a lot of Hip-Hop artists are asked how they began writing music, you often get an answer that revolves around poetry and creative writing. Popular belief would lead you to believe that some of the best lyricists have that kind of background and make thought provoking music that defines more than just a song. This holds true for the #SouthEnd native, FUNERAL Ant Bell! Since hearing some of his music for the first time in 2020, we were instantly drawn to his descriptive writing which almost sounds like he’s right in front of you delivering a message. Street inspired but never violently glorifying the “culture” is the best way to describe the young MC and he has a great story to tell. Join #CharlieMaSheen & #KASH as they welcome FUNERAL Ant Bell to the pod for the first time and more than likely not the last. On this episode we talk about the rapper’s latest body of work “There’s Glory In the Fire, Vol. 1”, his upbringing and influences in music, his affiliation w/ #Avenue & #WordsSpeakLife and SO MUCH MORE‼️ And once again we were givin a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle that we’re sure many will be talking about for a while‼️LINK IN BIO— TAP IN‼️

2022 has been the year of the worker. While some were still talking about 2020 and last year, the doers brushed yesterday off and got their “right now” on! One of the proactive artists who has been working tirelessly this year is definitely Alejandro Blanco. With his traction from “A3” that dropped in 2021, the multi-talented crooner gave us 2 albums and 1 EP and the year isn't even over yet! The last night we got to talk to the Fearless Music Group star, it was over a year ago when he pulled up on us with a lot of his crew. This time around we wanted to get a little more personal so we invited Alejandro Blanco to the pod solo and tackled a lot of topics. This might be one of our most controversial podcast to date and as equally as WILD & HILARIOUS ‼️ Join Charlie MaSheen, Shanelle Shanté, & KASH as they interview Blanco and talk about his most recent bodies of work including “First Born” &  “Like Last Time”, his work w/ the Super Smash Bros & Wizz Dakota, a crazy game of “F*ck, Marry, Kill” and SO MUCH MORE‼️ We also ended the episode with a perfect #RedCupsAndRap freestyle from Kil The Artist! Some people outside of the commonwealth may not know much about the Boston Rap/Hip-Hop scene but they might know the name Leedz Edutainment and the venue “The Middle East” in Cambridge. There was a time when those two names went hand in hand. For about 20yrs Ned “Leedz” Wellbery basically owned all the major rap events that were taken place at that iconic landmark and brought out some of Rap’s biggest names to come rock the crowd. When you’re the face of anything, however, EVERYONE is going to have something to say about how you do things; even people like our hosts Charlie MaSheen & Kash. If you’ve followed our podcast its not a surprise that we’ve mentioned Leedz multiple times prior and the “pay to play” show structure— and how strongly against it we stood. At last we had the opportunity to put it all on the table and talk about it like men.
Join us this week to almost take a trip down memory lane with the founder of Leedz Edutainment and talk about his journey in event promoting, some of the highlights of his more memorable shows, the “pay-to-play”, his studio compilations like his latest “Worker Among Workers” and SO MUCH MORE‼️ This conversation touched on a lot of things people wanted to know and also how Leedz has changed over the years. Definitely one of our classic moments as a podcast and a MUST LISTEN for maybe about 3 generations! TAP IN‼️
