Brockton has gotten so much press within the last couple of years–and not for some of the most common reasons. There's been an influx of new musical talent and one artist who's stood out to Charlie MaSheen and the team here at CWTFB Radio is a boom-bap loving, lyrically inclined, deep voiced, intense, dark and gloomy rapper who simply goes by his birth name, Jiles.
Prior to becoming a fraction of the Brockton-based musical powerhouse, Van Buren Records, Jiles made his entry into the MA rap scene as the creator of a blog titled One Van as his way to stay connected to Hip-Hop and create the kind of content he felt was much needed at the time. He then clique'd up with some close friends and officially began his journey as an artist. His first body of work titled "Fuck Jiles" is an introduction into the mind of a comedically influenced young Black man who also went through the trenches of the hood and turned his mishaps into magic. Jiles followed up with a very short but satisfying EP titled "It's Not Much, But It's Mine", which is what inspired the name of this episode, and also recently released a Deluxe version of the extended play with more content for his core fans. Join Chizz and Jiles in this 1 on 1 as they go through the life of the artist, the formation of his group/label, what he has going on next and also a #RedCupsAndRap freestyle!
BE SURE TO GO GET THAT NEW EP "IT'S NOT MUCH, BUT IT'S MINE (DELUXE)" AND ALSO "FUCK JILES" ON ALL DSPs!

When it comes to podcasting in Boston–especially Black culture podcasts, BNF Podcast was one of the first to gain large traction within the city back in 2016. When Charlie MaSheen began CWTFB Radio in January, he actually credits BNF as being one of the platforms which inspired him to start podding. For many different reasons, BNF Podcast dismantled a few years back which left a void in the Boston podcast space for their raw and street culture inspired topics. However, a few months back one third of the original BNF crew and nightlife promoter, Woody–or Dmal to friends, revamped the brand and stepped back into the media scene.
Join us as we welcome Woody to the couch in this 1 on 1 talk with Chizz. If you follow Woody on social media, you would know he is an open book and often shares his point of view in a very extreme, raw, and unadulterated manner, which didn't change on this episode at all. Dmal touches on many topics such as the Boston/MA music scene as always, his mother passing in 2019 and how that changed him, relationships (including his last one), his brand, his sponsor Puff n Creme, and much more! The fellas shared many laughs and challenged each other with their stances, including some things involving certain Boston socialites.

We've been tapping into Boston's R&B scene as of late and this week we're back with one of the leading voices in the city; a Rhode Island native turned Bostonian, Eva Davenport! Charlie MaSheen & Tiny Bellez welcomes the songstress to the couch to catch some laughs and talk all things R&B. Eva dives into her emergence on the scene in 2017, the help and warm embrace she's gotten from fellow creators like Red Shaydez, early influences, her first body of work, and more. Chizz also mentions Eva being nominated for two Boston Music Awards: Vocalist of the Year, and R&B Artist of the year! It's refreshing to see artists who deserve recognition being acknowledged for the hard work they've been putting in!
Eva Davenport's EP "Letters To Self" is a short 5 track body of work that is full of soul, pain, and records that display the singer's vocal range all while leaving the listener wanting more. The album does get broken down and needless to say, we are eager to hear the new work Eva has on the way! The wholistic and soulful artist also wraps up the podcast with a beautifully sang freestyle to Monica's "So Gone". Dont miss out on the conversation!

When it comes to the R&B scene in Boston, one of the most prominent names over the past decade has been the often slow tempo vocalist, Punky The Singer. Since her teenage years Punky has always found a way to keep her supporters engaged and anticipating her next move. With certain social media platforms gaining traction and famous rappers like #LilWayne #WizKhalifa & #SouljaBoy mentioning her name, she was able to amass a large online presence and create some die-hard fans! Now that Punky is all grown up she mostly caters to relationship/breakup music displaying her vocal range and songwriting skills. We had to get a piece of Boston R&B royalty on the couch to talk with Charlie & Tiny!
Crashing in on a long-time friend's podcast, Treva Holmes heard from Chizz that Punky would be on the show and he made sure to be there to bring his high energy and talk about the music he and Punky are working on! Frequent collaborators, Treva & Punky compliment each other very well musically and their chemistry also showed itself on this podcast. On this episode, our hosts Charlie MaSheen & Tiny Bellez dive into a range of topics with the artists including creative processes, influences, next moves and even Punky The Singer's OnlyFans account which Treva Holmes described with great detail! South End native Yahweh Almighty has been a part of the music scene in Boston for a few years now but really put some fuel on the fire within the past year with a more polished version of his trap-crooner style and larger than life personality. Starting with his single "Not Invited" he was able to spark interest in a lot of supporters and even made himself noticeable to some industry names. His 2020 EP "You Think You Know" is a 5 track album led by the single "Derek Jeter" which has gotten over 104k views on Youtube in a short 2 months. The single even went as far as becoming the #1 record in Canada, dethroning Toronto native and international superstar Drake, with no promo! That type of star power couldn't go unnoticed so Charlie MaSheen invited Yahweh for a talk about Red Cups & Rap.
Join the conversation with the guys as they go over some of Yahweh Almighty's musical journey, his upbringing, and also a sprinkle of some current events in the world. A night full of great vibes and energy, mostly because of the guest of honor and a great supporting cast in the audience including Boston star Lord Ju.

On our podcast with Boston Legend and industry vet, DJ Chubby Chub, Vanni Allan Poe was an artist who he mentioned as someone to check for from a 2019 spin-off of the famous "Bonnie & Clyde" record by the late great Tupac. Vanni is an artist who's been doing his thing for quite some time in the Boston scene and can rap with the lyricists but can also make heartfelt records for the ladies. Charlie MaSheen got a chance to ask him a few things about his journey in music and what he has coming up next.
Sylus Gambino is one of those names that sort-of emerged at the perfect time on the Boston rap scene with his street anthem collab with 8 Zipp, Cam Geez, and his label-mate Vanni, titled "Kill Or Be Killed". That record was a perfect blend of real life accounts in street life and tied together by a catchy and melodic hook. The success of the song spawned a #KillOrBeKilledChallenge which even inspired our host, Chizz, to give his social media followers a quick 12 bars. Sylus followed up with another hit single "Down For Me" anchored by Vanni Allan Poe on the hook again, but teams up with the Atlanta native TK Kravitz and another label-mate Cash Rari. This record has amassed almost 70k plays on youtube in just a short month!
With a DJ Khaled-style of putting records together, Sylus Gambino credits his ear as his musical talent and plans to be an integral part of stringing together more collaborations in Boston. Join in on the conversation as Charlie MaSheen asks his guests some tough questions and share a few laughs with us!

His latest body of work, "Catharsis", takes us on a musical journey through his life, his goals and also his fears. Since the release of "Sex Money Kush" in 2016, Mattapan native Reem Skully has made a name for himself in the Boston Rap scene as somebody to keep an open ear for. He has always found a way to keep listeners engaged with his very street influenced and neighborhood themed lyrics along with some very well put together visuals.
Theres been a lot of support behind Reem Skully and this week he joins Charlie MaSheen on the pod to talk about how he fits into Boston's growing Hip Hop scene, his upbringing, influences, and more. Chizz asks him why he hasn't dropped more large bodies of work and Skully answers by letting us know about a 20 track upcoming album titled "Pandemic" which is on the way soon. In the meantime the "Panway" rapper has recently dropped a single and video for "Major", a trap record with a baseball themed video and a lot of twerking.
