d4 Adventures

We start the next year, jumping into Animal Handling with our heroes-to-be. The team also officially meets Gary, Tanzy's new... friend. We also learn of a competition between all the continent's main schools twice every 3 years, the Trials of Athan.

All across the Eastern Continent, HEROES are born every day.

While most people exhibit mundane characteristics, a small segment of the population show the talent for learning skills and abilities that seem impossible. While these hero-touched children sometimes manifest gifts young, it’s only through THE EXAM, a mandatory exam for all youth across the Continent to test their ability to manifest these talents. Upon receiving their results, students are instructed to choose one of a half-dozen highly revered Academies devoted to their further education.

The break between years is coming to a close and our heroes-to-be reconvene in the cafeteria as they do. We find out more about the classes that will be taken this year, see some familiar faces, and follow up on some projects that have been in the works. Lark learns more about sorcery first-hand. Charr catches up with a close friend. Tanzy gets a club. Moss meets with a professor.

Wild Magic amalgamations spawned around the Wild Magic Sorcerers and begun running amuck. Had our heroes-to-be not planned ahead, it would have been a horrific bloodbath, let alone a failure. Clerics, Paladins, and Bards (and a single monk) were there to protect those who needed protecting. Will this Wild Magic Curse really be lifted after all this, or will it be for naught?

The day has come; most of the remaining casters staying at Iskar Academy over break have come together to execute the plan to "overcharge" these mysterious wooden boxes our to-be-heroes had found. Hopefully, the strange magical "sickness" afflicting various magic users will come to an end! But what risks lie dormant within when tampering with the ever-unknown, inter-planar magic flow?

Back from the Tower in the Swamp, our Heroes-In-Training are staying on campus during the break between academic years. Even though that doesn't mean relaxation for the team, it doesn't mean work is needed either! Flirting, Frog Dates, and some good ol' university shenanigans are afoot!

After tying loose ends and preparing for adventure, our heroes-to-be found themselves traveling northwards towards the tower now surrounded by swamp. The crew of Lark, Moss, Charr, Tamzie, and Enris had picked their mounts and set off. Before wandering in the wetlands to search for this magical and mysterious structure, a quick stop is made to find a familiar fox.

An investigation into the plight of the Academy and beyond's casters leads our pre-heroes back to Lake Ezar, where they are guided by Aqua to the tower at the center of the lake. New discoveries come to light in many forms for each of our students, be they about prized possessions, about each other, or even about themselves.

A morning starting with waffles leads to an adventure into town for our group of students. In Carraquette City,  searching for potions of water breathing, the group instead finds trinkets and armaments. At least, these trinkets and armaments are within their price range. While on the road heading back towards the school, Lark notices a strange anomaly in the sky.

Let's have a ball! Tonight is the Masquerade Ball and everyone is getting prepared. Lark and Moss get themselves ready together and summon Lark's date. Charr meets with his date, Aqua and talks with her on a big rock. Celeste is one of, if not the first at the Ball. Soon after comes Charr, then finally Lark and Moss. The night is young, however, as alarming information is revealed to the team.
